Kang Chen looked at her casually, his expression indifferent. "Arrange for someone to send her back," he said to Huo Er.

Since it was already lunchtime, the butler personally served Ming Mei lunch. After she finished eating, he said, "Young Madam, please rest well."

Ming Mei lay down; visions of violence kept replaying in her mind. The images of herself hanging in midair tortured her over and over. After a long struggle, she finally fell asleep.
