CHAPTER EIGHT: FRIENDS OR WHAT?
She doesn’t have to say that money isn’t everything, well; I won’t say anything against what her mom said to her
“We can go home together with my car” she said as I nodded my head. I opened the door and find Rosa sitting on my chair as she talked to Samson
Jeez… I guess that is my answer
Today is my first day; I don’t want to cause commotion again
“Are you okay with it?” Margaret said whispering to my ears
I nodded my head as we both walked to my seats
“Rosa, I am back… Can you please go back to your chair?” I asked interrupting their discussion
She looked at me and smiled
“I don’t want you sitting here, why don’t you sit on her chair?” Samson asked as he looked at me awkwardly
“Answer me, Rosa” I asked her referring to the question I asked earlier before Samson’s stupid answer
“Why are you so stubborn? Just go sit on your friend’s chair” Samson responded again making me furious
“F.Y.I. I wasn’t asking you the question so please don’t answer or talk to me” I said to him calming myself down before looking at Rosa
Does she like him or what? Was that why she answered me immediately I was having an argument with this nincompoop?
“Rosa, can you please go sit on your chair?” I asked her again hoping to not hear Samson’s answer for her
“Chris…” Samson was about calling my name before Rosa held his shoulder
Okay, they have the reach the point of husband and wife?
“Christiana, in order not to cause any argument, can you just exchange sit with me for just today?” she asked softly
I calmed my nerves since today is my first day, I don’t want to lose a childhood friend
I carried my bag without any argument and went to sit on her chair
“Jeez… Rosa, were you the one that allowed this girl to sit on your chair?” her seat partner asked
“Yes, don’t worry I will come there tomorrow”
“Better, I just hope it is not permanent” the girl said before facing her back to talk to her friend
Christiana, don’t be hot tempered… Calm down!
“That was rude” Margaret said as she sat on her chair
“I know but I don’t want to lose a friend because of a chair” I shrugged the thoughts off
“That is very calm and brilliant of you, I guess” she said as she brought out her IPad and opened the chat room
“See!” she said almost immediately as she opened a platform and showed me what she saw
I looked at it and looked at what she is showing me in our class platform
“I can’t see what you are showing me”
“Check yours, maybe you will see better” she suggested as I brought out my IPad and opened our class platform
It was a picture of Rosa and Samson,
“They look good together”
“Isn’t the girl a new student?”
“She is using her beauty to her advantage”
The students in our class commented under the picture
“Didn’t the bursar say that no one should post or do anything non educative in the IPad?” I asked Margaret not wanting the post to get in my head
“It is their business if their IPad get seized” Margaret shrugged
“Rosa really got the attention she needed” I said not really wanting to Margaret to hear since I am talking to myself
“Good morning class” a male teacher entered the class
After two to three hours of three subject teachers leaving, entering and teaching, the bell rang for closing time
The History teacher left the class after sending our assignments to the homework centre
“Let’s go, my driver will be waiting for me” Margaret said as she pack her books into her bag
I nodded my head as I pack my things into my bag as well
“I will have to go to my locker to put in my exercise books” I said to her as I stood up and backed my school bag “Rosa, you want to come?” I asked her as I saw Kate and Rosa's seat partner, Grace standing beside Rosa as if waiting for her
“What are you doing?” Margaret whispered the question into my ear
“At least, she is still my friend” I said to Margaret
“Okay then”
“Rosa, are you coming along?” I asked again
“No, I am going with Kate and Grace” she said as I saw Kate and Grace standing beside her
Grace is that rude seat partner that Rosa has
“I knew that she will abandon you” Margaret whispered
“Okay” I said as I walked to the door
“Christiana, you can come along but not with that girl beside you” Kate said and Grace burst into laughter
“Rosa, are you going with these two mean girls?” I asked Rosa since I know it can’t be Rosa’s intention in following them
“Yes, they are my friends” she answered as she stood up and backed her school bag
“Okay then” I said and opened the door and left with Margaret
“Don’t tell me she went with that girl and left us behind” I heard Grace say
I already know that Kate isn’t going to be friendly but mean because of her status, she shouldn’t forget that she got into this school through scholarship or she will be left behind
“I can’t believe that today is our first day of resumption and Rosa abandoned you for the two mean girls” Margaret said as we entered into the locker room
“As far as she isn’t betraying me, she is still my friend” I said as I opened my locker and put in my notebooks before closing it
“You are too calm for her” Margaret said as we left the locker room for the school’s compound
“I don’t know but Rosa is a very good friend if you get to know her” I said to Margaret as I followed her to her car
“If you say so” she shrugged as a man came outside from a black expensive Lexus and opened the door for us “this is my car” she said as she entered into the car
“Jeez… That’s cool” I heard Grace say
