Lust

Adriel's POV

I felt the effect of her presence with every step she took into the room.I should probably go meet her downstairs, but it was intriguing to see how she walked. It wasn't a mere walk, it was calculated, refined, and well-paced. There was an air of calm around her, covering up the chaos within herself. It was the most perfect chaos my eyes had ever seen. If I wasn't in my sound mind,I would have yelled how beautiful she looked. Purple must be her color, and then again, she looked just as breathtaking in red. It was times like this that I knew the heavens were hard at work. Sending her in flashy, bright colors so my brain doesn't forget,so I couldn't forget.

She paused in the middle and shot her hazel eyes up. They found mine instantly, and her tiny judgmental frown drew up on her face.

"Are you not in mourning?" I asked, walking down the stairs.

Her eyes were fixated on me with every step, watching a bit too keenly for her own good. I wondered if she had heard me or just decided to ignore me.

"Did you try to kill me?"she whispered softly. But the place was so empty, and I was paying too much attention, so I heard it loud and clear. I was a bit taken aback. I wasn't prepared to deal with this today,or at least not until after our wedding.

I scoffed—or was it a chuckle?

"You are going to enjoy making a villain out of me." I replied, approaching her. She stepped back quickly,as if out of instinct. I withdrew for a moment. I wasn't planning on making my future wife uncomfortable either. Yes,I have principles now.

"You did not answer my question,"she pressed, keeping her eyes firm even though her body cowered.

"Darling, that's because you didn't answer mine. It's a fair game."

She got lost in her thoughts momentarily again. It angered me that I couldn't tell what she was thinking. I took a step closer and realized she was too far gone in her head to back away. It irritated me to see how easily distracted she got around me. But the irritation wasn't enough to command her attention; it was just the right amount that urged me to want to earn her full attention. One more step, and her eyes moved from empty space and found mine.

"Why are you not wearing black?" I asked again, this time more sternly as I noticed the silver in her hair.

She walked away from me as she spoke. "I could swear that you had something to do with my friends' deaths, yet you still dare ask me why I do not mourn them."

Who cared about a bunch of delinquents? I wanted to know why she was in vibrant purple when I had made sure that Alpha Leo was dead. Or did I not hear the name right? Her father clearly said Leo. And that bastard is dead. I made sure of it. It was not my intention to bring her more suffering than I had already scheduled, so I decided to finish the deed before they ever met. But here she was—a silver hair piece in her hair and vibrant purple on her body.

"What is wrong?," she asked. Sounding concerned. Oh, little lamb...

"Are you getting engaged today? I asked.

Her eyes narrowed. "It depends."

I took that as a yes.

"To whom?" I asked again.

Her eyes glinted, and I frowned. She seemed amused, and I was in no mood for fun. I felt tricked; there was no way Denzel had planned another hasty marriage for her. I was told the wrong name.

She walked closer this time. Putting her hands on my coat, she playfully ran her fingers on the fabric on my chest. "Why do the details of that information trouble you?"

"Trouble? Love, you are reading in too deeply."

"Eyes, don't lie," she answered, keeping her fingers dancing around on the streaks of silk.

There were way too many layers of clothing to feel it fully, but I was very much aware of her actions, and so was my lustful body. I questioned if she was drunk, brave, or just excited to test the fire. I silently watched her,not interfering but wondering what she would do next. Her eyes flicked up to mine, and she retaliated. I grabbed her hand before she dropped it.

"Who is he?"

She sucked in a defiant breath. "Let me go."

"Or what? Will the sex offender story be your threat this time too?" I asked, seizing the other hand as she tried to use it to free herself.

"And to think I wanted to thank you for being kind enough to give this place back," she spat, sounding disgusted. "You are even more arrogant than people say."

I chuckled lightly, releasing her. "Do not assume someone's personality by one sole action."

She walked even farther this time and fixed her gloves. "I see,you do not want to be referred to as kind," she scoffed.

"Exactly. It is a boring trait to have. And a useless one, actually."

She placed her hands on her hips and scanned me. "You are such a kind man, Adriel."

I rushed towards her and braced my hands on the walls around her before she could react. "Then be a dear and tell me his name."

She backed up against the wall and stiffened. "Not this again," she mumbled. "Tell me why you need to know, and I will tell you."

I groaned out my misery.

" Or is it something personal?"

"Not exactly; it involves us both, though. It's about our wedding."

"Pardon?"she gasped, looking more in panic than in surprise.

"We are going to get married soon, dear, and I really don't like the idea of you promising your future to another man."

Her eyes bounced around the room as if recollecting the scene. It landed on my face again. "Whatever sick joke this is,I don't like it."

"Neither do I; I exchanged this entire place for a simple piece of information—information that is proving to be a lie. I'm assuming the man you are dolled up for isn't Alpha Leo. So who is it?"

A flash of horror shone in her eyes. Her judgmental face returned. "It was you, wasn't it?"

I raised an eyebrow.

"You were the one who killed Alpha Leo; you murdered a man for this delusion of a marriage you have planned."

" Delusion isn't the word I would use."

"And you want me to give you my husband's name too?"

"Your husband?!" I exclaimed more loudly than I intended. "You are barely engaged to the man; don't get too attached. Its for your own good."

She scowled, and I rolled my eyes. "Since you don't want blood on your conscience ,I will try to strike a deal.He will get to live if he forgets the idea of marriage to you.But I must warn you .I don't cope well with rejection; I might have to resort to violence if he refuses my first attempt. Now, name."

"You disgust me," she sneered, trying to remove herself from the corner I had locked her in. Frustration built up inside me with every attempt, and I held her in place with both my hands. Her shoulders trembled in my grasp, and I released my grip a little.

"Please just tell me to go,"she begged.

"His name. And I promise he will be safe."

"As if your promises are worth anything." She said it defiantly. I couldn't quite understand how easily she could switch from being disgusted, terrified, and defiant in one minute.

Looking at her made me realize the silver adornment in her hair again. Werewolves don't randomly wear something that could hurt them in their hair. It must have been one of those love combs they had,and if that was the case, his family's seal and rank will be included in the design. I smirked. Bingo.

She noticed my interest in the comb and started to fight harder to get out of my hold. I must admit, she was stronger and swifter than I thought. She had already hit me in the stomach before I decided to not take those hands lightly. She threw two punches, and I caught both in my hands—a bit more feisty than she looked, huh?

She sighed in defeat as I pinned her hands above her.

"Do you really want to fight me, dear?"

"Yes,"she rasped, swinging her right leg to my….spot . Thankfully,I grabbed it with my free hand before it could make an impact. I would have frowned at her audacity, but the smoothness of her thigh in my hands distracted me. The angry girl was gone; her cheeks had turned pink, and her innocent pupils danced in her eyes. It was obvious she had realized how bad an idea it was to throw her legs up at me,risking her bare legs being exposed as the fabric of her dress moved out of the way.

I pulled her thigh closer against me, and she gasped out my name. Mortified. I was beginning to like this game, and I had absolutely no intention of letting her go. This punishment seemed fit for that tantrum she threw earlier. I rubbed my thumb on her skin, and she instantly got goosebumps. How interesting?

I lowered my head to meet her eye-to-eye."Do I make you uncomfortable, dear?"

Her mortified eyes left her thighs and darted at me. "No."

I smirked and raised my hands even further. Caressing for her soft, beautiful skin every step of the way. She drew in a shaky breath and shut her eyes. Her breath came in small bits, and her mouth was slightly parted. It was such a beautiful sight—her baby pink lips just inches away from mine, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment, the disapproval in her face, and the defiance in her voice. "What about now?"

She didn't answer me this time; she dug her teeth into her lower lips as her full chest heaved up and down.

"Look at me." I ordered her, and her eyes slowly opened. She did look into my eyes, but only to let me see just how defiant she could be. Her eyes cursed me and chastised me for my immorality. And yet all I could think about was how perfect she was, looking at me like that. I wanted to wipe away that look and replace it with a full submission. I now not only needed her as mine. I wanted it. I felt a violent rush of blood run down to my member. I frowned at how quickly my own defence was breaking. If I didn't back away or let this thigh down, I might have to go out with a bulge in my pants. I couldn't let her be now; she was breaking slowly, and it was such a good feeling to leave. I would rather risk losing my self-control than lose this moment so quickly.

"I could seize your precious little hairpiece, or you could be a good girl and tell me who wants to take you from me."

She frowned, brought her head a little further into my face, and whispered. "You are sick."

"I agree." I said, carrying my hands further, until they reached close to her underwear. Her thigh pressed forward, and she drew in an even shakier breath but didn't ask me to stop. But I could see she didn't approve of it,but she liked it. She didn't like liking it.I didn't want to like her that much either,if we are being honest, but here we are. At a line we couldn't cross,I dropped her leg, deciding I was going too far than we could handle.

She let out a sigh of relief, and I swiftly took out her silver comb. She frowned when she realized what I had done. I let her hands go as I studied the silver piece and walked away from her before another confrontation that would result in sexual heat.

"Adriel, please,"she begged, and I frowned. She won't beg me if I assault her, but she will easily plead for the return of a freaking comb. I despised that about her but decided not to voice it. I didn't like this idiotic commitment I had to this guy. In fact,it was irritating. I looked carefully at the comb to identify the seal, but I couldn't, that should mean he wasn't even one of the famous Alphas. But here she was, proudly referring to him as her husband. I seethed in anger and turned back to her. It was then that I realized just how magnificent she looked with her hair down. The comb was holding it all together; the damn comb was hiding her perfection. Her blonde hair looked soft and silky. It draped down her perfect face and down to her breasts. I paused and decided to never let her hold her hair up into one of those tight buns again.

"Please give me back my comb,"she asked politely, stretching her hand open.

"No," I said, and her shoulders dropped. "I will personally deliver it to you when I know who exactly this belongs to."

With that said, I turned and headed for the door.

*Kiara's POV*

I walked head held high,as if I might not have lost my virginity to a certain vampire a few minutes ago. My mind was clouded with the memory. My hair was down,I was sweaty, and I had come late to my own engagement. The guests watched me with every step as I made my way to my seat beside Lohan. My family stared and glared at me..almost ashamed.

My father had called Carlotta as soon as we entered. I had already told her what to tell others, and I had hidden a whole lot of details from her lest she fainted, but I was still extremely worried. Carlotta wasn't one to lie to her Alpha. She was more upright and highly questioned the time I spent in there with Adriel, whom she didn't trust at all. She was right not to do so. I nervously ushered myself to my seat and turned to meet Lohan's eyes; they were more worried than upset. This was why I liked analysing people's eyes, it told stories.Adriel's stories were hard to read,it's like looking into two pools of grey nothingness. I pushed Adreil's eyes out of my mind and focused on Lohan.

"Are you alright? he asked,concerned.

"Yes," I replied, faking a guilty smile.

His eyes went into my hair and then back at me. "Where is the comb?"

I bit my lips and searched for a lie. At the same moment, Carlotta and my father returned from wherever they went. My father's eyes rested on me, and his gaze was heavy with disappointment and unhappiness.

Fuck.Im sure Carlotta has screwed me over.
