"Safe trip, Alpha. It's a pity you couldn't stay long enough for the big event."

He gave me a polite nod and returned his full attention to his precious daughter.

"Kiara,I wish you a good and happy marriage." He kissed her forehead and smiled fully. "All the very best the universe has to offer you, mi Bella."

Kiara nodded coldly, and he pulled her into another emotional parting hug.

I looked away to let them have their moment. The second-hand embarrassment was strong. Kiara had been treating everyone with an unhappy stiffness since morning.

 She woke up in a sour mood and was making sure that no one missed it.I was guessing it has something to do with the deal, but it's not my business, and I won't interfere. I was just here to play the happy fool. Like I always have
