THE LIGHTS FLICKERED AGAIN.
Without wasting time, I rushed over the check-out counter and shuffled through the shelves. Opening drawers and searching through boxes. I found a box full of double A batteries. It may come in handy.
Running across the adjacent shelves, I rummaged through it hastily.
"What are you looking for, Kris?" Elliana asked me curiously.
Finally, I found what I was searching for and placed it on the counter.
"Help me find something that can be a source of light. Flashlights, candles, anything!" I said with urgency.
All three looked puzzled by the way I was acting no doubt, but didn't argue and followed my lead.
Back at the check-out counter, we have collected 6 flashlights, 5 large boxes of batteries, some chargeable emergency lights (which I discovered of late that it doesn't work because it wasn't charged), 10 packs of vigil candles and three boxes of light sticks - courtesy of Leon.
"Light sticks? Really?" I gave him a stern look.
