Chapter 5 Why Don't You Close the Door When You Take a Shower?_1

Wyatt Perry hadn't expected Claudia Ross to be taking a shower.

His brain went blank at the sight of her beauty, and unspeakable images flooded his mind as his body underwent changes silently.

Claudia was startled by Wyatt's sudden appearance.

By the time she realized it, he had already seen everything.

Though her figure was not as seductive as Katie Poole's, there was flesh where there should be, and she was slender where she needed to be.

There was a petite and delicate beauty to her.

"Get out!" Claudia covered herself with her hands, her face flushed red.

Wyatt turned his face away, embarrassed, "Why didn't you lock the door when you were showering?"

Heat rushed to his head, throwing his breathing into disarray.

Claudia retorted, "I'm usually the only one here, why would I lock the door? You don't even give a warning when you come back, and you think you're in the right? Get out, now!"

He walked out of the bathroom, his body feeling excessively hot, his mind a mess, almost forgetting the reason he had come back.

Claudia put on a bathrobe and came out, her words dripping with irony, "How could you bear to leave your little sweetheart and come home?"

A man she would not see more than a few times in a year, and now she had seen him twice in one day.

Each encounter was because of Katie Poole, indicating the weight this woman held in his heart.

What a childhood sweetheart.

What a devoted couple.

Wyatt steadied his mind, regaining his composure as he sat on the couch, his legs crossed, exuding a dangerous aura that dropped the temperature in the room.

He looked at Claudia seriously.

"We never had feelings for each other, and divorce was inevitable. If you have complaints, take them up with me. Dragging my mother to cause trouble for Katie is disgusting."

So that lofty man could be blinded by love as well.

Those ice-cold eyes only melted when they were on Katie Poole.

At this moment, his gaze was like an icicle, stabbing directly into Claudia's heart.

She knew that no matter what she said, Wyatt would not listen.

In his eyes, she was that disgusting person who dragged his mother to Katie's doorstep to cause trouble.

Well then, she would continue to disgust him.

If she couldn't feel at ease, then neither would he.

"Regardless of whether you were madly in love with her before, your wife now is me."

"Nobody put a knife to your throat and forced you to marry me. Since we're married, you must be faithful to this marriage. No matter how much you love her, she can only be the other woman, forever despised. Even if she bears you a child, the child will still be illegitimate and not recognized by the Perrys."

The frustration that had been suffocating her could not be held in any longer.

Claudia suddenly felt a lot more comfortable.

Chin slightly raised, she met Wyatt's gaze without backing down, her eyes filled with provocation.

It was as if she were saying, "See what you can do to me. I refuse to divorce. I can't stand to see you happy, bite me if you dare!"

Wyatt really did want to bite her.

He was grinding his teeth in hatred.

He had never looked at Claudia Ross properly before, but today, for the first time, he realized just how detestable she was. He had underestimated her previously.

It turned out all her previous docility had been nothing but deceitful pretense.
