Claudia Ross finally felt better after drinking two bowls of red date soup.

While the man was busy in the kitchen, she discreetly left some money on the coffee table and quietly left.

Entering the elevator, she pulled out her phone.

Nana Monty had called her several times, but neither her father nor Wyatt Perry had tried to reach her.

Claudia Ross didn't want to go back to The Rosses, so she took a taxi to see Nana Monty.

It was the weekend, and Nana Monty wasn't working; she had ordered takeout and was waiting for Claudia Ross to join her for a meal.

As soon as Claudia Ross walked through the door, Nana Monty exclaimed, "Good Lord, you're as pale as a ghost—it's just a divorce, it's not the end of the world. Why do you have to make yourself look like neither human nor ghost? No one will pity you if you keep degrading yourself like this."

"Is it really that terrible?" Claudia Ross touched her face.

"Do you think I'm joking?"
