The next morning, Claudia Ross opened her door to find a bodyguard standing outside, holding a huge bouquet of roses.
At a glance, there were ninety-nine red roses.
"Ma'am, these are flowers the boss sent for you, flown in from Rivile City this morning," the bodyguard said as he set the flowers on the shoe cabinet by the door.
"Thanks." Wyatt Perry sure knew how to make a statement. Couldn't he just buy them in Costria City? He had to fly them in from Rivile City—burning money like it was nothing.
Seeing a card attached to the bouquet, Claudia took it and opened it. Wyatt's firm and handsome writing came into view: "My dear wife, good morning. Just four more days until we see each other!"
The writing was as distinctive as the man himself. Looking at those characters was like seeing Wyatt in person.
Claudia tucked the card into her handbag and hurriedly left for her classes.
