"Edward Muller, let's make things clear today, you must be misunderstanding," Claudia Ross asserted confidently.
Edward Muller smiled bitterly, "How could I possibly misunderstand? Claudia, why do you insist on denying our feelings? Are you saying that when you told me you loved me, it was all a lie?"
"When did I ever say I loved you? Are you dreaming?"
It's like a scholar trying to reason with a soldier; logic just doesn't work.
Claudia Ross was so frustrated she was hopping mad.
Edward Muller was just too stubborn; she didn't even know what to say to him.
Edward Muller said, "I wish it were a dream, but you know it's not—better than I do. Claudia, no matter what you think, I have to take you with me today."
"Uh..."
Claudia Ross realized Edward Muller wasn't joking and had to start resisting with all her might.
Edward Muller came prepared and, after dragging Claudia Ross out the back door of the restaurant, a car was there to pick them up.
