The next morning, I wake up to a note that was slid under my door at some point when I was sleeping. I pad over and pick it up. I smile when I see Shane’s handwriting.


'Today is for us. Meet me outside after you get ready, love. Can’t wait to see you. 


His sign-off makes me giggle. I feel my excitement for the day growing by the second. As I get ready, I think about how sweet it is that he took time out of his busy schedule to plan something to make me feel special and cared for. 


It takes me longer than usual to pick out something to wear. Finally, I settle on a pale yellow dress. I make sure that my undergarments match too, just in case. They are white and don’t leave much up to the imagination. I leave my long dark hair down and brush it out. When I’m all set, I make my way outside.
