Prologue

Far away, in a distant land not known to many, is a prosperous city known as the Land of the Moon. A place where rich aristocrats and members of royalty gallivant around in their finest robes in hopes of displaying their wealth. The ladies, with their hair tied up in styles shooting towards the sky, would have their faces made up to the point where they manage to create a whole layer of skin and the men would boast to one another about their "many feats of bravery" and were simply set on impressing those same women with their layers of made-up skin.

These were the type of people who resided here, and they were mostly fake and...in one word, treacherous to be with. Fortunately, our hero, is in fact not from this land, but from a smaller and less populated place known as Moon Village.

The Land of the Moon and Moon Village were founded by two brothers about a century ago. They consisted of an older and younger brother, and they were given two pieces of land, one being noticeably smaller than the other. The younger one, not wanting to be disrespectful towards his older brother had suggested that he should take it even though he had always dreamed of building a large city. However, his older brother refused to take him up on this offer and instead gave it to his younger brother. He was very touched by this and swore on his life, that one day, he would repay him one day.

And so, the brothers got to work and built a city and village. The village of course was the craft of the older one and the younger finally managed to finally realize his dream of making his city. The two brothers then decided to make both their lands have the character 'Yue' since their family name was 'Yueling' hence the birth of the Land of the Moon and Moon Village.

Moon Village was the birthplace of our hero, Li Yueling who was now around 16 years old. Though he was born in a village, and was most definitely not from a wealthy background, he was extremely beautiful, maybe as beautiful as the moon itself and many of the village maidens and aunties often swarmed him wherever he went, some even followed him to the bathroom, but we don't do that, because that's called stalking and it's illegal and freaks people out.

Anyway, Yueling obviously almost always had many maidens around him. And these maidens had always tried to approach him, wanting to profess their "undying love" and whatnot but unfortunately, no one ever managed to properly do so because, in addition to him being very kind, he was also very stupid and was so dense that he could never understand that those maidens actually liked him. In addition to that, he was often called 'Bai Lian' but the village folk or 'A-Bai' by those that were closer to him. He was called this for two reasons, the first being the fact that he was extremely naive, pure and gullible even though most his age weren't and the second being his stupidity when it comes to matters like love and understanding situations generally and he often confused when it came to these. He was also extremely clumsy, especially when he was in the kitchen and would such a mess, that all the village aunties would faint at the mere sight of it. Though he still continued to do so as he had a passion for cooking which would eventually cost the aunties to faint once more after looking at the mess he had now worsened.

But now, peace reigned over Moon Village as everybody continued to diligently burn through their daily tasks. That was until a loud crash, followed by a bang which then finished up with a very loud clatter bang could be heard. Everyone already knew who it was, and they all sighed resignedly and thought,

"A-Bai's making a mess again".

And now in the kitchen, a young man laid flat on the ground with a lot of pots, pans and saucers scattered around as he closed his eyes in embarrassment and smile hopelessly.

"Sorry everyone".
