Back to being strangers

By the time they were ready to go back, the sky was already starting to darken. Eve stood behind Moon who was untying his horse from where he kept it and when he was done, he turned to face her where she had a worried look on her face.

"Why did you say you wished for death a long time ago?" she asked.

Moon slid his finger through the bridge of his nose and he sniffed. "I see that you still worry about me," he said and pulled the corner of his lips. "Don't worry…" he paused and seem like he was about to say something more to it, but then he closed his lips and smiled and then he turned to the horse before going down on one knee with a sigh. "Get on," he said with a pat on his lap and he looked up at her.
