[ 17 ] Classes

I entered this. Dark and gloomy-looking class.

Professor Hangse was standing there, waiting for students. In just a few moments, class was filled up.

Professor Hangse started to speak; his voice was cold and immotionless. "I do not allow any kind of slackers in my class, so don't let me catch you being idle, or it won't be good for you."

Hearing this, a lot of people nodded in fear. Although Professor Hangse does not look scary, he still gives off cold and dark vibes.

Soon the class started, and we were told to make a basic potion.

I remember the steps seen in the potions book. It was a very easy potion, with only a few ingredients.

It is used to remove colds and minor illnesses.

I felt a rush of excitement. It was my first time making an actual potion. I didn't want to mess it up, so I listened to the professionals given tips very carefully.

I started by adding blue sky and a tiny bit of liferoot to my potion.

Blue Sky is a blue berry that helps in removing colds.

Liferoot, a plant with high vitality, is a very common but useful medical herb.

The only bad thing about Liferoot is that it's very expensive. They have a high maintenance cost, so most people would try to grow their own one or two plants of them.

I let the potion cook for one minute, and after waiting for a minute, I added one leave of Grayomela.

A plant with gray leaves that mildens the effects of other ingredients.

I only added it because we are making a basic potion. But professional potionists probably use it to mild some very strong and aggressive potion ingredients.

I let it cook for two more minutes, and I looked around myself.

Almost half of the students seem to have failed to reach this step. It was not that surprising that it's there for the very first time.

I noticed that the majority of the people who have successfully reached this step are rich students. They must have practiced before coming here.

After waiting for two minutes, I added curry leaves to the potion.

Curry leaves are purely optional ingredients, but despite that, they're used in the majority of the potions because they make the potion's taste acceptable.

The higher the quality of the leaves, the better the taste. Though I will only add low-class curry leaves because they're cheap,.

Other rich students are adding good-quality curry leaves to get a better score.

I stopped it after 30 seconds of cooking. The potion was done. Thankfully, it was a good-looking blue potion, not a black, grey, or dirty liquid.

As for why my time rational is so good, it is because there is a time-measuring watch in my Moonstone ring.

It also has time-telling, an academy class schedule, notifications, and other cool things. It's really a great device.

Professor Hangse nodded at me; he was pleased with my performance. I got an A+ in my first assignment.

I was very happy with my score.

I also heard Professor Hangse say, "Those students with a B+ or higher score can sell potion to school in order to get some Crescents."

"You can also use Cresents to buy things in the academy."

"Although most of you might already know about Academy shops, let me tell you again."

"There are multiple shops and a mini-magic market in the academy. It's run by the academy and the students. You can buy or sell everything in the school."

Hearing this, everyone nodded their heads. I didn't have time before, but I really want to check out the Mini Magic market at the academy.

After Herbelogy and Potionelogy, it was time for another class, Divitation.

But, to be honest, I didn't have that much talent for division for anyone except myself. So I won't say I didn't pay attention in class, because I did, but it truly was a boring class.

All we got to know was some dumb phenomena that didn't even need to be taught by teachers.

The next classes were Academic Magic and Flying Lessons, but due to some unusual rain, we got a free class and a history class instead.

History was not something really complicated to me, but it was still interesting because it was written in quite depth.

____

I looked around with joy hidden in my indifferent-looking eyes.

I started to look around the market. I came here as soon as the class ended.

I was really excited to see new things. I didn't have enough free time to look around Crystal City Market, so at least I can look around here.

I can also sell things, which is even better.

I first went to a potion store; it's said it's run by seniors of Nightgale House. Even their head in charge cares about these shops and sometimes personally makes potions to sell here.

I brought some un-common potion ingredients, which I hadn't brought before. I seem to be good at potions, and I don't want to waste my talent.

I also sold the blue cold potion. It sold for a total of 180 Crimson Cresents, which is pretty good because it is grade A+.

If it was lower grade, it would have been sold for less.

The shop sells everything at a 10% higher rate than they brought it from.

If I sell a potion for 180, they will sell it for 200 Crimson Crescents.

All big shops run by house seniors work like this.

After selling the potion, I went outside. It's a pity I do not have more potions, or I would have sold them here.

Although it might not look like it, making a potion takes a lot of magic. You have to have good control over magic to do it.

Because only magic can balance flames properly, and only magic can take out all the potential of potion ingredients.

If we don't take advantage of the potential of the ingredients, then it's a waste of money. And a potion would also not be as effective as it normally is; to cover this fault, you would have to put more ingredients in it, wasting more money.

But ignoring this stuff, I brought a cream puff from a small bakery store; it was so soft and tasty.

While I was eating less, I bumped into someone, it stained into that guy's seemingly expensive black coat...

I immediately apologized, "I am sorry, I accidentally bumped into you...."

But I only felt those dark blue eyes glaring at me coldly...
