A Room for the Newlywed

Thirty minutes ago...

In a VIP room at a five-star hotel restaurant, the Zhao and Wang families were having dinner, with Nick and Amelia there, too. They sat next to each other like a married couple. Amelia, still in her casual clothes from college, sat very close to Nick, wearing a cheerful expression like a happy wife. Her nose was too close to Nick's armpit, catching a whiff of cologne mixed with sweat, slightly sour and unpleasant. But she didn't mind because it was a chance to be close to Nick without him protesting.

'The sweat of someone you love smells nice. If it were anyone else, I'd puke,' Amelia thought.

Unfortunately, Nick, who wasn't good at pretending, looked cold as he had since Olivia dumped him. If he showed a bit more affection, no one would know their marriage was in trouble.
