Their eyes locked there for a moment.

Amber broke into a light sob, "Kilr? You're alive!"

Kilr opened his mouth to speak but shut it after, he just stared at her in utter silence.

Amber could still remember shutting the door in his face allowing him to be killed by the zombie. It was brutal even to watch from the sidelines. "Kilr, I'm-- I-- I'm very sorry. But you have to understand I did it for the safety of Class-2A. It was the only way, no I was confused. I didn't know what to do since I started seeing things that shouldn't appear naturally."

Kilr said in a calm tone. "Is that why you thought to use me as a sacrificial lamb? Me the one you all called trash? Or am I not part of Class-2A?"

Amber's lips trembled greatly. "No, it's not that. You would have done the same thing if you were in my shoes."

Kilr scoffed. "I'm afraid the shoe won't fit!"
