"So, what is happening now?"
I asked Lui in the back seat while Ema sped, cutting through the traffic like a hot knife through butter.
When I landed at the airport a ground staff greeted me at the exit of the plane with a wheelchair, which made me puzzled. But when he told me that 'Ms. Lui from your company put in a request to assist you.', I got what it was for.
I faked a little limp, said thank you, and sat in the wheelchair. Then I was rolled through the immigration check and the whole arrival procedure as a priority traveler, which was very nice indeed. I didn't have any check-in baggage either so I was out of the arrival gate within 15 minutes despite the huge number of traveling crowd at this start of the holiday season.
Lui was there to greet me and we exchanged pleasantries only briefly, and within minutes I was sitting in a car with Ema and Lui.
