Chapter 376

"Mom, you're back?"

A voice startled Ino from behind. She turned to see her son, Inojin, yawning as he stood in the hallway behind her.

"Where were you? The bathroom door lock seemed broken. I thought you were in there, but knocking for ages got no response."

Hearing his words, Ino sighed in relief. He hadn't noticed her sneaking out last night but only realized she was gone this morning.

Hands on her hips, Ino replied, "I went out to buy breakfast. I suddenly didn't feel like cooking today, so we're eating out instead. Go freshen up and come eat."

Thankfully, she had decided to skip making breakfast earlier and bought food instead.

As she thought about it, Ino unconsciously rubbed her lips. It was all Yoichi's fault. After her shower, he kept her busy for over half an hour, leaving her no time to cook.

During breakfast, Ino appeared absent-minded. Her thoughts wandered, thinking about ending her current relationship—not with Yoichi, but with Sai.

Yoichi's presence was becoming increasingly significant in her life. Every moment she spent with him seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, leaving her wanting more.

Divorce.

Then marry Yoichi.

The idea had been circling in her mind daily. She wanted to wake up to find Yoichi beside her, not an empty pillow.

That was why she couldn't resist sneaking out late at night to find Yoichi. In the past, it had always been him coming to her.

However, as a mother, she had to consider Inojin's feelings. This was the main obstacle preventing her from taking the leap.

"Inojin..."

Ino suddenly spoke, causing her son, who was eating breakfast, to pause and look up. "What is it, Mom?" he asked.

"Do you have enough pocket money? Should I give you some more?"

"I'm good. I don't really have anything to spend it on. I still have most of the money you gave me last time," Inojin replied, shaking his head.

Ino nodded. "Alright, make sure to study hard at the ninja academy. If you need anything, let me know."

"Sure, nothing for now," Inojin replied but hesitated before asking, "Mom, should I start practicing the Shintenshin no Jutsu soon?"

Ino paused. Though she still held high hopes for her son, she asked, "Do you want to train? If you do, I can take time to guide you."

"Not right now. Maybe later, with Shikadai and Chōchō. For now, Mom..."

"Do as you like. I discussed this with your father before, and he'll handle your training from now on," Ino said with a blank expression, though the thought saddened her. It seemed the tradition of the Ino-Shika-Chō formation might break with her family. Fortunately, the other clans had heirs willing to uphold it.

Feeling the tense atmosphere, Inojin quickly left after finishing breakfast.

Meanwhile, Yoichi was dealing with other matters.

"Finally resolved it. It was hidden so deeply."

Yoichi looked at the four dried-up Sea King carcasses before quickly surfacing. His Kamui Clone was already waiting for him on the surface. As soon as Yoichi emerged, the clone pulled him into the Kamui Dimension and joined him.

The artificial God Tree that Victor had created was now stored within the Kamui Dimension. Without life around, the tree had stopped growing. Though it bore a chakra fruit, it was weak and insignificant. Even consuming it would provide only a slight boost in power.

Yoichi planned to feed the God Tree clones of powerful genetic samples. Only then could it bear a chakra fruit that could grant divine power.

After returning to the Kamui Dimension, Yoichi transferred the life energy from the Sea Kings to the God Tree.

With the influx of energy, the tree rapidly grew, soon reaching over a hundred meters tall. Though still far from a true God Tree, it was much stronger than before.

"Good. Now, we just need to wait for the sacrifices to mature. Then I can harvest the chakra fruit."

Satisfied, Yoichi exited the Kamui Dimension. He returned to the third floor of his pharmacy and noticed a letter had been delivered. He retrieved it and opened it upstairs.

"An invitation for the second season of the show... It's been over a month already."

Yoichi smiled. The show he had starred in with Hinata had become a massive hit in the ninja world. This success was largely thanks to the fabricated internet influence his Tenseigan Clone had orchestrated.

Through the growing influence of the internet, Yoichi could manipulate public opinion with ease, turning Hinata into a superstar. The illusion was so convincing that even the director, cast, and the villagers of Konoha were unaware of the truth.

Now, this illusion was pressuring Hinata into filming a sequel. This time, the new season promised more dramatic developments—including intimate scenes.

"Ding-dong!"

The doorbell at the Uzumaki residence rang. Boruto answered the door and was greeted by two strangers.

"I'm Ichise Wada, the director of Love Isolated. I'm here to visit Lady Hinata," the man said, handing Boruto his business card. "You must be her son, the Seventh Hokage's child. Is she home?"

"Mom? She's here. Come in," Boruto replied, letting the two visitors in before calling for Hinata.

Hinata appeared and was surprised to see the director. "Director Wada! What a surprise. I'll prepare tea immediately!"

"No need to be so formal, Lady Hinata. I came to share some good news. By the way, is the Hokage home?"

Before Hinata could answer, Boruto interjected, annoyed. "That old man's probably busy with something else."

"Haha, the Hokage does have the responsibility of protecting the Land of Fire. It's a shame he's unavailable. If he starred in a show, I'm sure many would love to see him on screen."

Wada laughed before addressing Hinata. "Lady Hinata, your role in the last series won an award! Here's the news article and contact information for interview requests. If you're interested, feel free to reach out."

Boruto's jaw dropped. "Mom! You're amazing! Everyone wants to interview you now?"

"Haha, don't underestimate your mother. The show reached a viewership rate of 49%—nearly half the ninja world watched it. This is an unprecedented success!"

Hearing this, both Boruto and Hinata were stunned. The scale of the achievement finally dawned on them.

"Mom, you're incredible! Way cooler than Dad!" Boruto exclaimed excitedly.

"N-no... It's all thanks to the director and the team," Hinata replied, blushing.

"Don't be modest, Lady Hinata. Your contribution was crucial. I'm grateful you accepted my offer. Now, about the second matter—the sequel. We're inviting you to star in Love Isolated 2."

Wada presented a contract. "Fifty thousand ryō per episode, totaling fifteen million ryō. The benefits have also improved compared to last time."

"Fifteen million ryō!?" Boruto exclaimed again, overwhelmed.

"Boruto, behave. Don't be rude in front of our guest," Hinata scolded before turning to Wada. "I'm sorry, but I need to discuss this with my husband first."

"Of course, I understand. Today, I hoped to visit the Hokage as well, but it seems I missed him. By the way, here's a box of fan letters for you. More will be delivered soon."

"So many? Thank you for going through the trouble, Director Wada."

"It's no trouble at all. Also, Yoichi has already agreed to join the sequel. He finds acting quite enjoyable. If you accept, I'm confident the new season will be even better!"

After the director left, Boruto couldn't contain his excitement. "Mom, why didn't you agree? That's so much money! Plus, your fans are waiting for you!"

"Boruto, I told you. I need to discuss this with Naruto. Besides, if I continue filming, I won't be able to care for you and Himawari."

"But Mom…"

Hinata remained firm. "I'll talk to Naruto about this. He's the head of the family."

That evening, when Naruto returned home and learned about the offer, he supported Hinata's decision. With Boruto and Himawari encouraging her as well, Hinata finally agreed to star in the sequel.
