Bittersweet

Paige walked out to see a car parked at the entrance of the house. Her phone rang at that instant. She lifted the phone in her hand to view and intuitively answered.

"What are you waiting for? Get in the car," A masculine voice rasped her ears. She wasn't in the mood to banter words yet. At least she was glad and felt relaxed hearing from him. Without hesitation, she strolled off to where the car stood.

She pulls the door open, settling in as she drew the phone from her ears. "You are so impatient." She said, not yet aware who the driver was as she was busy pulling the door shut. Turning to the driver's seat but almost jumped out of her skin on seeing the driver. "Oh my God," she exclaimed, horrified. "Who are you?"

The driver who was also threw off-guard by her reaction, panicked. "I'm sorry," he said.
