The Twin Lords Who Starved
Panila was just about to finish off Ven before Rat calmly intervened. "Hey, Panny." She smirked, her rat tail flicking about as Panila froze up. "Why are you here?"
"I was just going to loot the place, ya know, the usual. But then I saw my little investment getting in trouble... So I just had to intervene." She laughed, casually grabbing the hearts off of Ven's unconscious body. "What gives you the right to take tho-" Rat turned around, shooting her a cold smile. "Because their mine? And. If you want your secret to stay a secret, I'd say you let me go with them."
For some reason, Panila felt intimidated, and she hated it. Rat held a card she didn't want played, and despite her being heartless, she decided not to risk getting between Rat's claws. "You will leave Tid-Bit. I want him alive, and she is the key to that."
Rat stared at the Sub-Mind in her hand before laughing, tossing it to Panila. "Sure. Why not." Panila grabbed the heart with a sigh. Watching Rat leave, but then noticed a note she left on the heart.
Panila quickly looked up to find Rat, only to see she had already left. Much to her fury. Panila sighed and called in the Decaynines to start clean up on Devouring Domain.
Avis, Vinea and Senshi had finished their day of binge watching T.V shows as they heard a knock at the door. Avis got up with a sigh, opening it to see Rat, who looked exhausted. She crashed on the couch, nearly crushing Senshi in the process. "Oh, hey Rat." Vinea said as he picked up Senshi, stroking her hair. "Hey, where's Ven?" Avis asked with a puzzled look as she grabbed an energy drink.
"Oh yeah, Panila captured him." Avis quickly spat her drink, as Vinea and Senshi looked baffled. "HE'S BEEN WHAT!?" They all yelled in unison. Rat sighed and filled them in on what happened in Devouring, showing off Tophina's heart.
"W-W-We're gonna rescue him, r-right?" Senshi asked, which Rat just laughed at. "Of course we are... Aaaaand, we're going to steal both Desire's Heart and Tid-Bit back." She clapped her hands together excitedly, though Avis quickly shook her head.
"Nope. We can steal Tid-Bit back, but I am not stepping foot in Desires."
"Why?" Rat asked with an eye roll, flicking on the T.V with her tail. "Is it 'cause I'm responsible for your whole... Harpiness? Is it to traumatic?" She said mockingly, snickering to herself as an ad began to play of Desire's current leader played. Avis stared at the T.V, looking away embarrassed.
Ami came on screen, wearing a set of light yet fashionable white and gold armour, adjusting her short bright red hair, like she didn't realise the camera was on. "O-Oh, is it rolling? G-Greetings, Desires Denizens! I-It is the g-great Ami N-Newstarr here, w-wishing you all a h-happy M-Memorial of the lost. I-I know it's only b-been about four months since my l-leader ship began, but I-I hope you join us in o-our celebration!" She had an awkward edge to her, like she was barely holding in her nerves.
Rat then got a realisation, quickly looking between the screen and Avis. "Oh me... You're her bloody sister. I thought your last name sounded familiar. To think, it was my replacement. Ha, you're related to that Mollia wannabe. That is gold!" She laughed, dusting her hands. "Well, that sorts out the name part of our plan."
Vinea and Senshi couldn't help but laugh, seeing how embarrassed Avis was over her sister. "Shut up. Do you know how embarrassing it is to be related to her? What if she recognises me? Oh Mollia, I can't do this. Can't we just recue Ven?"
Rat sighed, grabbing Arachne's heart as she explained: "We need my underground assistant. Since she basically runs Desires. Now, this one will probably take us awhile, and you're all not getting out of this."
Avis sighed, putting on her best face mask to cover her beak and tossing Vinea a baggy outfit to cover his vines. "Fine... But I better get a good reward outta this."
Rat smirked, reaching into her Snow globe and shifting around and pulling out a microphone. "Here. This works well enough." Avis fumbled to catch the mic, barely catching it with her wings. She begrudgingly readied herself as everyone got changed into more inconspicuous outfits, except Senshi, who hid inside Vinea's hood.
"Well Birdie, looks like you're the new protagonist for awhile."
