Take My Horsemen through The Old Town Road

"Do I really look this... Human?" Lucy mumbled as she sat at the back of the 4 horse drawn carriage, staring at a mirror in the random clutter that was her new temporary home. She was rather stunned at how dramatic the transformation was, not only had she lost 5 of her eyes, but even the slits that ran across her cheeks. Her main gripe though was that she now looked significantly younger compared to how she usually did.

"I swear... No eyes, no demon voice... No name. What would Mother think." She mumbled as Lamb awkwardly tried to comfort her. "Well maybe you should see it as a positive? You don't have to be seen as scary anymore."

"At the cost of my entire persona being shattered. Look at me, I look like a young girl who has just barely gotten out of the educational system!"

"Can you be quiet for a bit, Lu?" Min asked as he took a bite out of a muffin he had been saving for a while that was quickly snatched by Arlo. "Is that anyway to talk to your master?"

"Oh our gods, can you just shut it so I can focus on the road?" Ro complained, letting out a slight cough over having to raise her voice. The five of them had decided to try and find anyone from Lucy's world first. Figuring that with allies, it would be easier to find her heart.

But the already 3 days of travelling to their first destination had been difficult since all of them couldn't help but bicker over the slightest thing. From Arlo complaining about his stuff going missing, to Ro constantly badgering Min for cloth.

"What would you say to some light magic training, Lucy?" Lamb suggested with a smile. Since the former demon had nothing better to do, and the fact that she couldn't even understand the world's language yet to read a book, she agreed.

Over the next few hours of their travels, Lamb taught Lucy some basic knowledge about the land's magic and fundamentals. Instead of having power flow through their heart, the magic of one's being instead came from their soul, being nicknamed "Ego Power".

She learned that, much like hearts, people have a unique ability tied to their soul, yet could also learn other forms of magic as well. Lucy soon realised her contract power was much stronger than in her world, since it bound souls to her.

"Since I technically own you, Lamb. May I ask what your "Ego" is?" She asked flatly as the sheep girl began thinking it over how to explain it. "All our Egos are locked up to a degree. Mine is completely locked away until it is deemed needed." She explained as she put her hand out, revealing a glowing pale white sigil on her hand.

The other horsemen showed their hands as well, revealing they had the exact same marking. "So I get nothing? Great." Lucy said with a sigh, drinking some water from a canteen left out before continuing her training with Lamb.

After a few more hours of traveling, they had reached the outside to an entire town in the middle of the desert that contained a giant colosseum in the centre. The sounds of cheering and yelling could be heard all through out once they entered.

"What are we doing here?" Lucy asked with a blank stare as everyone started getting off the carriage. "Our first Hero is here. Clawhouser, The Blood Tiger." Ro said with a sigh as she made sure her mask was on extra tight.

"And maybe catch a few games in the Arena." Arlo said with a cheer, pulling out some flags. "And sell some wares." Min grinned, dragging out what looked like sign that read "The Four Corners". Lamb let out a light laugh as she helped Min put the sign on top of the carriage. "Why don't you, Ro and Arlo go out for a bit?" She suggested as she lifted up a panel on the side, opening up their store for the day.

Since Lucy had nothing better to do, and Arlo's constant insistence, the three of them left and began looking around the sand surrounded town. They walked around, looking for anything that looked like it would be interesting, only finding sandstone buildings covered in decorations and memorabilia.

"It seems people really enjoy Arena fights." Lucy mumbled as she stared at a flyer of their first target, depicting the weretiger standing above a hoard of defeated adversaries. "Yep, yep, yep. Dustination is known best for their food, arena fights and the occasional train robbery." Arlo said as he showed off a cowboy hat he bought at a nearby store. He playfully tipped his hat to Ro, who just rolled her eyes and continued walking.

After a bit more walking, the trio found there way to the colosseum itself, deciding it would be a decent time killer and lead in their search. Arlo bought some popcorn, and despite Lucy constantly declining, he bought her a plush of a strange black figure with a grey scarf.

As they were heading for their seats, Lucy noticed their was a lot of buzz about the new up and coming challenger facing the raining champion of the arena. Lucy was no stranger to blood sports, mainly because she used to watch her prisoners fight to the death on a daily basis, but she couldn't help but get a bizarre familiar feeling when she heard the nickname "Size Queen".

"Size Queen? Pfft, who'd name themselves that?" Ro laughed as she put a cloth over her seat to avoid direct contact. She was a massive germaphobe, always doing little things like that. It annoyed Arlo to no end as he sat next to her. "Do you seriously have to do that here?"

"These places are filthy. Look at these people. Not a single cleaning station in sight." She growled, pulling her cloak down to at least feel the rays of the scorching sun. As Lucy sat down and leaned over the railing, the Weretiger hero, Clawhouser spoke up as he took to the centre of the arena.

"Welcome viewers! Todays fight will have the steaks, the danger and the blood we crave!" He yelled before letting out a ferocious roar, making the crowd cheer in excitement.

"We have two special guest fighters today! You know em, I love em. The Grey Hound!" He called out as a tall, feminine shadowy black figure with a featureless black body covered in stitches appeared, though bizarrely having no visible eyes.

The figure looked to the crowd as they pulled down the grey scarf they had around their neck down, revealing an almost animalistic looking muzzle that had a wide grin on it, revealing rows of sharp teeth. They yanked off their scarf, that shifted into a fleshy looking sword that they held up to the air. "Hiiiiiiii...." They said as they turned directly to Lucy while their white hair swayed in the dusty wind.

"Oh Mother... It's those two."

"Y-You know the Grey Hound?" Arlo asked with an excited look in his eyes, though Lucy let out a content sigh. "Indeed. The Bioweapon, Nvr2b and The Mimic assassin, Grey." She mumbled, making Arlo let out a cheer in excitement. "Woooh! Get em Hound!"

"And tonight, our latest arrival and rising star of my ever so great Arena! She pissed off King Midas himself and lived, the woman who both fights and acts like a dreaded beast! The Self proclaimed "Size Queen Of Dragons"!" Clawhouser yelled as a muscular, multi horned dragon with scruffy blue hair walked out wearing nothing but a skimpy bikini that Lucy recognised.

"Oh gods damnit. That's Kiola, isn't it."
