The Beginning.

Sounds of crying and screams of agony ring through the frigid night. In the northern most part of the Tianxia continent, a little village is being pillaged by mountain bandits. In the midst of it all,a little girl is crying in her mother's arms. She sobs as she asks her mother, "Mommy, why is this happening to us?" Her mother replies,"because we are powerless and weak." The child, "Is there going to be anyone coming to save us?" Her mother bows her head down as she answers, "Who would come to our little village here in the freezing cold and in the dead of night?" The child whispers, "What's going to happen to us?" Her mother, "Who knows? Maybe this is just our fate." 

As the bandits are gathering up the villagers and children, one says to another, "Looks like that's all of them!" Their leader says, "Bring the girls and kids to the cage, kill the rest." The bandits start dragging off girls one by one and notices the mother and daughter pair, "Hey guys! These two look nice! I'm sure the boss would like them." As one of the bandits walk towards the duo, a man blocks their path shouting, "Don't you dare!" The bandit laughs asks, "And what are YOU going to do about it?" The bandit cuts him down with a sinister grin on his face. 

As he gets closer, the child tucks her head into her mothers chest and cries. With a look of fear, the mother tries to run from the bandit, but is caught by another one. The mother gets slammed onto the ground. Clutching her child in her arms, she screams, "Dont come near us!" The bandits look at each other and laugh, "AHAHAHAHAHA". The bandit smacks the woman, and the child bites the bandit's hand. The bandit yells, "AH FUCK!" He drags the child out of her mother's arms and throws her to the ground. The mother screams for her child and tries to run to her, butgets shoved down again. Another bandit picks up the little girl by the throat, and the leader shouts at them, "Don't damage the merchandise!" The little girl squirming, stops when she sees that her mother has been cut down. "One or two don't matter." The bandit turns to the little girl and flings her at her mother, and walks away. The little girl, shocked at what she just saw, starts to cry uncontrollably. Another bandit hits her with a spear. As the little girl's eyes start to close, she glanced at her mother, her sight flickering, tears streaking down her cheek into a puddle of blood.

 The sky brightened, and lights flashed, illuminating the silhouette of a warrior. The little girl's eyes closed. Drifting off into the embrace of the afterlife, she's suddenly pulled back by the warm healing wash which the warrior brushes over her. Standing over the child, the warrior looks over at her mother, and again, brushes another healing spell. With a soft sigh, snow started to fall.

The bandits saw the man standing over the child and her mom shouted, "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!". "Who me? Well, I don't know that either; but it seems to me that you almost killed these two" the warrior replied. The bandit, now agitated and confused, shouts to his companions, "INTRUDER! KILL HIM!!". The other bandits noticed the warrior and charged at the him together. The warrior dodges the incoming slashes, and pulls out his blade. With a flash of black and blue light, the bandits heads flew. Shocked seeing this, a few of the bandits run away. And the rest got slaughtered. 

Instead of giving chase immediately, the warrior looks to the rest of the dispirited villagers. Seeing that some of them have minor injuries and wounds, he walks closer. Out of the corner of his eye he sees the cage where the women and children are being kept, and mutters to himself "Fuck these pieces of shit.". He asks the villagers if they saw which way the bandits fled. An old man, who seemed to be the village chief, pointed towards a mountain.

The warrior said, "Thanks, old man. Those who are injured, do not leave this barrier until I return". The warrior draws a protective barrier around them and he disappears into the direction the village chief pointed out. The warrior, seemingly running on air, soon reaches the bandits running away. He hides just before the bandits notice anything wrong, and heard one of them say "Where the hell did a monster like that come from?" Another replied, "Who the hell knows! Was that bastard a demon?! One moment we're charging at the fucker and the next, heads fly!", "Good thing we ran away in time, otherwise we would have died like the rest of them.". "Come on we need to go and tell the Big Boss what happened." 

The bandits hurried up to their fortress in the nearby mountain and rushed in. Not noticing the warrior trailing behind them, "Boss!! Boss!! We got attacked by some crazy guy in that village you said to go to!". "He's some kind of demon, Boss!" Seeing his subordinates shaking in fear, the boss shouts, "HOW CAN A SINGLE MAN WIPE YOU OUT?!" He flings his sword between his subordinates legs "Hieek!" 

A wet THUMP sounds from the door of the chamber and he yells "WHO IS IT?! COME OUT!" A figure in a black tattered robe appears holding a decapitated head says. "Oh? So this is where the leader of these animals are." The warrior walks into the room. The bandits that ran away shouts, "THATS HIM!!!" The leader replies "What? This poor bastard wiped out our men?", "AHAHAHAHA what a jo-". In a flash, the boss is decapitated and everyone falls backward onto the ground. There was only an eerie silence in the room. 

Then came the sound of a girl screaming "NO! PLEASE DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!!" The warrior raised his eyebrow and walks towards the sound. He opens the door to see a very bruised girl, half undressed, and a man trying to tear off the rest of her clothes. The man goes "COME ON, DONT YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME?!" ….*splurt*….the man looks down to see a blade coming out of his chest…*twist*…*shlik* another blade pierces through. The man looks back and saw a figure ringed in black. He falls to the ground and his head gets crushed.

The warrior pulls a cloth from a wall hanging, and walks towards the girl. Holding up the cloth for her, he says, "You're safe now. Did they hurt you other than these bruises?" The woman shakes her head and the warrior lets out "Alright, thats a relief". 

The girl screams, "BEHIND YOU!" The warrior spins around, pulling out his blades from the corpse, he kills the rest of bandits rushing at him in with a thundering slash. 

The warrior turns back to the girl and asks "Are there anymore people here?" The girl points to a door hidden at the back of the room. The warrior asks her if she could guide him; the girl stumbled to her feet, but falls again. "Ah! You don't need to push yourself. You can just wait here for me" the girl grabs the warriors robe. "Alright, alright". He takes out his brush and swipes it across her wounds. A flash of bright green envelops her, healing her wounds in an instant. The girl's eyes widen and tears start rolling down her face. The warrior says "Alright, then. I'm going to clean up this mess, okay?" 

The girl tightens her grip on the warrior and asks "Are you going to leave after you're done?" He asks "Do you have a home or somewhere to go back to?" She shakes her head and says "My parents sold me to here, I don't have anywhere to go anymore", "Pieces of shit" the warrior mutters to himself, "alright I'll bring you with me after this." She nods and smiles. "You might see some bad things, so I'm going to have to let you take a short nap, alright?" She says "okay." The warrior taps her sleeping acupoint, wraps her up in the cloth, and puts her on his back.

The warrior walks to the hidden door and he sees cages and cages full of people. His eyes widen and he thinks to himself, "What fucking hellhole is this?". He walks into the damp, dreary darkness. He walks to the closest cage with people in it, and asks if they can talk. "Shhhhh..!" One of them points behind the warrior, he looks around to see a figure moving towards him. He quickly hides in the shadow, and hears the figure mutter, "Damn! What is taking those guys so long?" The warrior jumps out of the shadow and stabs the figure in the head. It falls down and disappears, and another one jumps out at the warrior and shouts "HELLO INTRUDER!" The warrior pulls out his brush and sword to cast some light. 

He sees more and more of these shadowy things moving closer and closer to him. Soon, a pair of floating, disembodied eyes look at him and say, "So thats why all my little puppets are so late, they probably got killed by you right?" At this point, the warrior was already surrounded. He says "Yep, and you're next, let's end the nightmare for these people.". 

"AHAHAHAHAHA YOU WISH, BRAT, LETS SEE HOW YOU MAKE IT OUT ALIVE!" The shadowy figures lunged at him from all sides. He casts a barrier of light, and all those lunging at him flared to ashes in the light. The pair of eyes stared in disbelief; it starts moving towards the warrior, and appears behind him. The warrior spun around but gets stabbed by the figure. "So, is this is all you amount to?"

The warrior starts to laugh and disappears. The eyes darted around, looking for the warrior, and soon realizes that it is trapped in an illusion. The floating eyes solidified into a lone necromancer. Those people in cages vanish into black smoke. The warrior outside the illusion seeing the people disappear gets alarmed. Shaken, he looks to his back hoping that the girl was still there, and luckily, she was, still breathing peacefully as she sleeps. He locks eyes with the necromancer he says "Burn." The warriors blade erupting into flames, he jumps forward slashing the necromancer. The necromancer looks at himself laughing but is then horrified that he is burning, and, as he starts to disintegrate, he screams "YOU'LL REGRET THIS!" The rest of the shadowy figures soon disappear, and the veil of darkness lifts.

Out of the corner of his eye he sees a shadow still standing, and walks over. He gets to the shadow and cuts it down, revealing another girl having her life force sucked away. As he brings out his brush and casts "Curse Break" and "Heal", the girl drops to the ground in a faint. The warrior wraps her up, and hoists her onto his back, and walks out the doors. 

At the gate of the fortress, he looks back and says "Burn." Fire blazed up and the whole fortress is engulfed. The warrior walks back to the village. With each step the warrior takes, he feels his feet getting heavier and heavier. As he gets to the village with the two girls, he saw the villagers still sitting in the barrier. He looks at the villagers and asks if they have a vacant house for him and the girls. The little girl from earlier walks over and tugs at his robe to follow her. He walks with her, the warrior tells the rest of the villagers "you're safe now, you can go home. The bandits aren't going to hurt anyone anymore." 

The villagers thank the warrior and asks his name. The warrior just shrugs and says "I don't know" the villagers look puzzled but leaves him to follow the little girl. Following the little girl, the warrior sees her mother unconscious on the ground. The warrior stops and picks her up. Now, carrying three people he grunts,"Ah ... I'm losing energy". The little girl overhears this and tries to prop up the warrior to help him walk. He smiles and says "it's alright kiddo, just bring me to where I can sleep." The little girl says "It's just up around the corner mister", they get to a small house near the edge of the village where the little girl says she and her mother stays. As he puts everyone down he goes. "Ah what am I going to …" and he falls face first onto the floor and falls asleep.

As he drifts off into sleep he gets pulled onto what seems to be a dream world. He realizes this and looks to see that there are 9 silhouettes looking at him. He gets on guard and tries to reach for his sword. One of them say that they mean no harm and that they have a request. The warrior is puzzled and looking at them confused and asks "Who are you", keeping his guard up one of the silhouettes speaks up and introduces themselves, "I'm Fate, it seems that you were brought here because of the plea from the little girl and her mother. It seems that you are a being of belief.". The warrior asks, "so does that mean i'm going to disappear now that they're safe?" Fate looks confused and chuckles along with the other figures and says "No dear, it's actually quite the contrary. You being you, you were born from belief and in this world where you are now these pleas and prayers come from all different parts of the lands".

"As long as there are people, you wont age nor die. That means you're basically immortal. Right now, you see, you're here in what's called a warring era. There are a lot of innocent people being displaced, slaved and killed without being able to fight back. "Okay...?" answered the warrior. Fate then says "I know this must all be confusing but, we're just here to introduce ourselves. We are, (Air, Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light, Dark, Emotion, Fate and Moon)."; Moon speaks up and says "You, you don't fit into the laws of this world which we find actually quite concerning considering that you're basically an entity that came out of nothingness. Therefore, we have a proposal for you." "What is it?" The warrior replied. Fate says "Since you were called here by the people, we want to give you the knowledge power and chance to live among them."—"I sense there's a catch" says the warrior cutting in. 

"I'm getting to it" Fate replies. "We can let you stay here but you must promise us to only stay on the righteous path.", "Whats that?" Asks the warrior. "Thats for you to find out, by protecting the weak and punishing the wicked." Fate replies. " Alright we don't have much time left to talk. So,we'll give you a small gift for you to get a head start, don't resist it, just absorb it and learn. This can help you out greatly.". Soon different kinds of knowledge and powers started to flow into the warrior, "Now you'll be our warrior, as Heavens Warrior. Going and doing things that we cant. You'll have your freedom but aside from a few things here and there we guarantee that it'll be to you and the worlds benefit.". "We'll meet again soon enough child so enjoy and learn as much as possible about the world. As a warning, beware of peoples hearts for those are the hardest to understand. You'll learn this soon enough.".

Fate smiled at him. Soon, he wakes up from his dream to the little kid looking at his face albeit very closely, he pinches her cheek and asks her "What are you doing there kiddo?" the child replies "Nwathin you looked weird and twitchy just naoow didchou have a bad dweam?", "Nah, just a weird one. What's your name?" He asked "Xiao Hua!" The kid shouted excitedly "Oooh that's a pretty name~" he replied "and whats your name mister?" she asked "well uhm..uh you see…ugh i cant remember kiddo", "you can't remember your name mister?", "I guess you could say that.." he replies, Xiao Hua notices the other two girls and tells him she'll be right back.

Noticing Xiao Hua's gaze, he looks to the other two girls one hugging his blade and the other hugging his leg. He sits up and the girl hugging his leg wakes up and starts apologizing "I'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry", he pats her and says "No need to be sorry kid, you looked like you were having a nice sleep. So, what's your name?" She replies "Yue Hua" looking a little shy he says "Thats a beautiful name." She blushes a bit and gets shocked that there is another girl. 

The other girl wakes up looking groggy she gets startled by the warrior and Yue Hua. She looks at the thing she's hugging and realizes that its the blade he used when he saved her, her eyes well up and starts crying. The warrior gets shocked and asks her "hey hey hey what's wrong?" She jumps to him hugging him burying her face in his robe she says "Thank you for saving me mister." He looks at her warmly and says that "i'm happy to help, so what's your name?" She looks at him and says "I don't want to use the name my parents gave me. They just sold me and i don't want to have anything to do with them. Can you give me a new name?", "Ahh i see huh..HUH?? You want me to give you a new name?" He replied, she says "Yes please!" with a huge smile going from ear to ear. "Hmmmm.. Zhen Ai, how about that do you like it?" She nods her head "Yes!Yes!Yes! I like it!!!" 

"Alright then greetings out of the way lets see how's your health" says the warrior "alright Zhen Ai do you mind putting out your wrist for me?" Zhen Ai happily obliges and the warrior holds her wrist and sends some of his Qi he feels nothing wrong he says "Hmm.. nothing bad" and says to Yue Hua "now your turn." She sticks out her wrist and he does the same for her and he senses that Yue Hua was poisoned. He tells her and she says "They told me to drink something and the next thing i know was me feeling weaker and weaker until you showed up mister."

"Those despicable bastards" he muttered to himself "Alright i'm going to take the poison out alright?" He asks her, Yue Hua nods to him and he says "alright this might feel a little painful alright?" She nods reluctantly and he starts, Yue hua grits her teeth and a few minutes later she starts feeling relief. "Alright it's done now, you should be feeling a lot better after we have some good food."

As he says that little Xiao Hua hops in with her mother and her mother introduces herself as Mei Lan she says "Thankyou warrior for saving me and my daughters life, how can i ever repay you for this?" The warrior replies "you can spend your life well and happily" she looks flustered and tries to hand him some money and he asks "Whats this?" Mei Lan says "it's money sir warrior." The warrior shakes his head and says "i don't need any and don't worry about it. If you want to repay me then please give me a name and some food" smiling brightly, The rest of the girls looked shocked when he said he wanted Mei Lan to give him a name for his repayment. Mei Lan quickly started thinking and asked if he could give her a moment and wait outside. 

The warrior got confused as to why, agreed anyway so, he went out for a walk around the village to see how everybody else was doing. He stumbles upon the villagers in the middle of the village in front of a pile of bodies and asks "whats wrong?" The village chief staggers a bit and says to the warrior "Thankyou brave warrior for saving our little village but as you can see this war has reaches far and wide. And there were those less fortunate. We're about to send them to heaven" The warrior chimes in, "Is there anything I can help with?" The warrior smiles, and the chief trying to smile asks "Could you please light the fire for them?" the warrior says "It's my honor" as he lights the fire, they see what can be said were spirits ascending up into the sky. Those people around the fire tear up and look to the warrior. The village chief asks "how can we repay you warrior?" , "some good food and can i have a few of those rocks over there?" He replies pointing to a pile of rocks stacked up a bit further away, the chief, "alright..huh rocks?", "Yeah those rocks next to that tree over there" the chief chuckles and says " Brave warrior you don't need to ask for any rocks you can just take as many as you'd like.".

The warrior walks over to the pile of rocks and picks 5 that he likes and walks back to Mei Lan's house. He walks into the house and is greeted by everyone saying "TianYi!" first he's confused but then realizes, "Oohhh thankyou you guys!" He replies "Did you all help coming up with a name for me?" Everyone smiling says "Yep!". Mei Lan says "Alright just relax for now, i'll go prepare some food for everyone.", everyone says okay and Mei lan walks into the kitchen to prepare some food.

Xiao Hua and the girls notices him carrying some rocks with him and asks "Mister what are those rocks for?", "oh these? I found them laying around on the ground and they looked useful." he replied. "How are they useful?" Zhen Ai asks, "These are called Snowfall Jade, but unlike the name it helps you stay warm in the winter.", "i've never heard of them though" Yue Hua chimes in, "i guess no one knows about them around here" TianYi says as he picks up a rock and with Earth Qi he starts refining it. The rock moulding and breaking, bends and bows slowly flaking away revealing the jade hiding within. He carves the jade into the shape of a lantern and summons his brush to write Zhen Ai's name into the first one and threads a woven string taken from his robe through it and gives it to her. She puts it on and exclaims "Whoa!! I feel so comfy now, it's not even cold anymore!", "Heh i'm glad you like it." TianYi replies.

"Me too me too!" Xiao hua asks for one and TianYi makes one for her and also for Yue Hua and Mei Lan. Just in time Mei Lan walks in with a nice hot pot of soup and rice she puts it down onto the table and TianYi gives her the Jade necklace. Mei Lan accepts the gift and asks what it is, "It's a Snowfall Jade necklace! TianYi made it for us!" Said little Xiao Hua. Mei Lan smiles brightly and puts on the necklace and starts feeling the warmth says "Oh my! I don't feel cold anymore!" TianYi smiles and says "i'm glad that everyone likes it. Now, lets eat!" As they were eating TianYi suddenly felt a killing intent pierce through the window, he jumps up onto his feet and looks towards the direction he felt it coming from. He saw a person firing an arrow. He summons his brush and stops the arrow and breaking it within his hands. It had a presence feeling similar to the person he fought at the mountain bandit fortress. The presence then disappeared. The girls looked shaken up TianYi says, "You guys don't have to worry about anything just enjoy the food." 

Everyone nods and continues to eat. TianYi notices Yue Hua not eating and he asks "Are you alright?" Yue Hua sulks and replies asking "could that be because I'm with you?" TianYi says " You don't have to worry. I'm not going to let anyone get hurt while I'm here." And pats her head. Yue Hua slowly lets out a smile and starts eating. TianYi suddenly remembers something and asks Mei Lan, "Is there anything I could use to make a painting?" Mei Lan looks puzzled and asks "For a painting, like paper and ink-stones?", "Yeah" TianYi replies. "I don't have any here but you could look for some from Mr.Xueqin, he's a scholar currently in the village.", "Alright, I'll go pay him a visit then." As TianYi sits up a feeling of uneasiness washes over him. He can't shake off the feeling so he casts a barrier on the house and tells everyone "I just cast a barrier. Don't leave the house for now alright?" everyone looks up at him and nods. TianYi walks out to the front of the house where he sees a man holding an axe looking at him with a deep killing intent….
