Team Avatar was completely amazed, especially Katara and Sokka, as they were finally visiting the sister tribe of the Southern Tribe. Katara almost wanted to cry, to finally be at the end of the journey, unable to help but shed tears for all that had happened, for all the people who had died.
Sokka was dazzled by the almost titanic difference in the architecture and features of the city, proving a beauty and wealth that the southern tribe could never match.
"WELCOME, AVATAR!" Several people shouted at once, welcoming the group of heroes who had challenged the Fire Nation.
"I wish Haru were alive to see this." Katara whispered, unaware that Aang heard her, causing him to lose his restored spirits as they finally reached their desired destination.
Appa flew over the buildings and had a unique view of one of the largest cities in the world. The architecture of the northern tribe itself used the ice itself to create its structures such as houses, buildings, and the wall. All thanks to hundreds of waterbenders, all working together to protect their culture for an entire century.
Aang noticed several men with spears in their hands, accompanied by an old man who was almost completely bald with several wrinkles on his face and a long, completely white beard. All of these men were standing on an ice platform large enough for a bison like Appa to land on.
Master Pakku and a few guards watched as the bison landed safely on the ice platform. The veteran Water Master heaved a sigh of relief, glad that the Avatar had finally arrived safely at the Northern Tribe.
"Welcome to the Northern Tribe, Avatar." Pakku said seriously, his hands clasped behind his back. "My name is Pakku, I am a master of water control."
Aang bowed in respect as he approached. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I apologize for my rudeness, but we need help."
Pakku looked at the group of the Avatar's friends and saw that one of the girls had serious injuries on her body. "Get a medic here now!" Pakku ordered as he looked at one of the guards who quickly ran to the tribe's hospital. "Don't worry Avatar, we have the best doctors in the world, your friend will live."
Sokka, who was helping Suki get off the Bison, was extremely relieved to hear the words of the man named Pakku.
"I have no words to thank you for your generosity." Aang thanked him, relieved to know that at least no other friends would die.
A man with a very striking appearance appeared, along with some guards wearing clothes that resembled a military position. The man's presence was quite imposing due to the aura surrounding him, but at the same time, he seemed to exude a sense of confidence.
"It is a relief that the Avatar has finally reached us safely," Arnook said. "I am the chief of the Northern Water Tribe, my name is Arnook."
Katara looked at the Northern Tribe chief and couldn't help but be reminded of her father in the spirit of leadership he exuded. But when she looked at Pakku, she felt a strange, oppressive sensation, a silent pressure from a hidden power that had been cultivated for decades.
An elderly woman who exuded a sense of confidence and compassion arrived, accompanied by the guards. The woman approached Suki to examine her injuries, her experienced eyes taking in every unusual detail of a human body.
"Fracture in the right elbow, skin damage from localized impacts, fractures in the 5th to 8th ribs and your sternum may be cracked." The woman analyzed seriously, surprised that Suki was still standing with Sokka's support. "From the physiognomy of your body, I can tell that you are a warrior. If your body had not been properly trained, I fear your bones would have destroyed your lungs, your strength saved your life."
Suki let a small smile appear, she was quickly sent to be treated properly, under the care of the best doctor in the Northern Tribe, or the best doctor in the world.
"You must be tired from your long journey," Arnook said, noticing the citizens approaching out of curiosity to finally meet the Avatar. "With the arrival of powerful allies, we will have a banquet to celebrate this meeting."
"Sorry to interrupt, Sir Arnook." Aang said, wanting to take the opportunity to warn everyone of the inevitable Fire Nation attack. "On my journey, I have received spiritual guidance from the Avatars before me, and they revealed to me that the North may soon be attacked."
Arnook's smiling face grew more serious, but he still maintained his peaceful composure, remembering the woman who carried a piece of the sea goddess's soul.
"Don't worry, Avatar, the Fire Nation has tried to overthrow us before, and as you can see, our walls are still as solid as a rock." Pakku said, trying to reassure the people, but his words carried the weight of truth.
"We are aware that the Fire Nation can always attack us, but today is a day of celebration. I am deeply curious to meet our brothers and sisters from the Southern Tribe." Arnook quickly regained his composure to cheer up his citizens.
Hearing the name of the Southern Tribe reminded Katara and Sokka of their destroyed home, and they were now both among the few survivors of their home tribe. It was ironic that they now shared the same burden as Aang, being the last of their family.
Watching from a distance, in a more discreet place, Yoshie felt that the Avatar had become more powerful since the last time they saw each other. "You've really matured as an Avatar."
"Spying makes you look like a psychotic killer." Yue said, wanting to break her counterpart's concentration. "I will introduce myself to the Avatar, and you try to find a way to ease the hostile tension you have with them." Yue smiled cutely to convince Yoshie of her words.
Yoshie leaned her body against the wall, not knowing how to ease the tension that would arise if she met the Avatar and his friends directly. She looked toward the infirmary where the Kyoshi warrior was being taken for treatment.
"She literally stabbed me with a spear." Yoshie frowned, feeling her blood boil with resentment, but suddenly felt her anger calmed by a familiar energy.
Yoshie looked around but saw no one, but she was no fool, the spiritual energy she felt was from her mother La, literally helping her to keep control of her power. Yoshie smiled in relief as she felt La's calm and maternal presence, making her mood incredibly calm.
"It's okay, Mom... I'll try to respect the value of life." Yoshie whispered to herself, knowing that the Water Goddess would hear.
Yoshie was able to perfectly represent and reincarnate the concept of the fury of the ocean, which was her best strength, but it was time to learn the value of life, even if she had to overcome the resentment in her heart.
Yoshie ignored the looks of the people who saw her. Unfortunately, she stood out too much from the ordinary people, so she couldn't avoid the suspicious glances. She approached the entrance of the infirmary, feeling the presence of several people inside the building.
As she entered, she caught the attention of Yugoda, the chief physician and teacher of the tribe's waterbending women.
"Sorry to interrupt." Yoshie said calmly, causing all the women in the room to turn to her. "I hope I'm not intruding."
When Yoshie's voice was heard, Suki's eyes, which had been closed during the treatment, opened wide. Out of pure instinct, she got up from the treatment bed and grabbed the battle fans that were tied to her waist.
Suki, looking directly at Yoshie, instinctively began to tremble in fear, her body reacting to the survival instinct, begging to run away and not face an equal force of nature. "You... why are you here..."
"I'm here to settle our differences." Yoshie said calmly, but the way she said it seemed more like a threat.
All the women in the room tensed, none of them daring to move a muscle, afraid, not of their power, but of Yoshie's origin. Yugoda took a deep breath and calmed his instincts, walking toward the imposing Yoshie, smiling motherly as he always did with his new students.
"I assume you are here to learn." Yugoda decided it would be wise to act as usual. She knew the Ocean Force wielder was an unknown woman, but she didn't need to be treated as a threat.
"This is an infirmary, not a place to fight." Yoshie lifted her artificial arm and used the water covering her arm to encase its healing power. "Then there's no problem, right?" Yoshie asked the old woman.
Suki swallowed her saliva dryly, feeling an indescribable tension. Only she was aware of the danger Yoshie posed, all the women in the room, including herself, were her hostages.
"I recommend that you lie down on the recovery bed, your body is still quite injured." Yoshie said as she walked over to the Kyoshi warrior. "Or do you want me to force you to lie on this bed?" Yoshie's eyes flashed, warning that she would have no problem using Bloodbending to subdue Suki's will.
"I'll cooperate..." Suki whispered, releasing her fans and dropping her weapons to the ground.
"Good girl." Yoshie said with a superior look.
