Although Kai was only able to go out of the house only a few times, but while staying inside the house there were times when he would hear the sounds of battle and roars of some beasts coming from the area towards the forest.

Guards were placed on night and day duties since there were many occasions when some wild beasts would jump on this side and try to attack the ordinary folks.

But Kai wasn't lucky enough to encounter any kind of beast yet, he was really curious about everything in this world, yet he was only able to explore a very tiny part of it so far.

As days passed, Kai increased the number of particles that he absorbed in a day, from one to two and then three and so on, even though he still couldn't let the energy flow into his body like Emily did, but he could clearly feel how the energy that he absorbed was affecting his body.

Seasons changed several times, and it was already Kai's fourth winter in this place, he had turned three years old by now and had began to speak quite clearly, and now running a little wasn't a problem at all.

During this time he studied the energy flow inside Emily's body and tried to find a way to copy it inside his own body, but that task was rather complicated, so it was taking quite him long.

Kai had constantly been absorbing energy particles, by now he was easily able to absorb more than forty to fifty particles into his body, without putting too much stress on his body. And results of his hard work were evident, despite being just three years old, Kai was sure that his tiny body could easily match a ten to thirteen-year-old boy.

But that wasn't the only advantage, his skin had become even more smoother and fairer, and he had become so cute that anyone who saw him would instantly hug his small body, Emily loved cuddling with him.

There was one time when Kai tried to experiment, he gathered over twenty of so particles into his fist and struck a wall, and at that time he almost broke his small fragile hand, though the result was satisfying as he was able to leave a clear hand print in the wall.

" Leo, come here it's time to learn. " Emily's sweet voice sounded, and Kai, who was standing outside and was in a deep conversation with his father about ways to woo a woman, ran back into the room.

He found that his extremely charming father was a pro when it came to women, though he wasn't a player, as far as Kai knew.

During this time, Emily's health had stayed almost the same though she looked a little more pale now, when Kai tried to search for the cause of her illness he found that even though the energy inside her body was trying to heal her, it failed and was pushed back by a strange Black gas like substance.

Kai couldn't understand what that thing was and neither could he think of any way to remove it, occasionally Ron would bring different people to help cure her but none of them was able to succeed, each time the hope in their eyes got dimmer.

" Come here. " When Kai entered the room, Emily smiled and gestured for him to sat beside her, she was teaching him to write and do basic maths.

Although Kai wanted to know more about this world, more about the strange energy but he couldn't find a way to do so.

" Mummy, what are we doing today? " Kai asked, he had already gotten used to addressing her like that.

Shuffling his hair lovingly, Emily spoke; " Today I'm going to teach you about division. "

Saying that, their lesson began, Kai already knew all these things but he didn't want to appear as a freak in front of his parents so he decided to show only limited talent, despite that he was considered a genius in the entire Arom village.

Time passed and his class ended, soon Kai was lying on the bed with his eyes closed, when it was already mid night he opened his eyes and found that Emily was deep in sleep.

After constantly absorbing this energy for almost three years Kai had begun to understand its nature a little bit.

He now had a new idea, that could possibly increase the speed of his energy absorption if it worked, otherwise, he might suffer some really serious internal injuries.

In the evening, Ron suddenly had to go out since he had recieved some important news, so right now there was only Emily and Kai in the house, standing up from the bed Kai stealthily moved outside of the room, he made sure not to make any sound and heaved a sigh when he saw that his mother was still in sleep.

' I hope nothing goes wrong, but even if everything turns out as I had planned there would still be quite a bit of pain, this body is still too weak and can't take too much. ' he thought, and found a cloth quickly to stuff in his mouth, as he sat cross-legged near the entrance of his house.

There was a small lawn in front of the house and a wall of over 3 meters height surrounded the house, Kai was sitting just outside the house, but because of the wall no one would be easily able to see him, and also his groans wouldn't reach inside the house.

Placing the cloth into his mouth he clenched his teeth tightly, then closed his eyes, he remembered the way energy was travelling all over Emily's body, she was easily able to absorb hundreds of thousands of energy particles in a very short amount of time.
