Toot Bat

" Mummy, what is that? "

Kai said as he pointed towards a black creature, that looked like a bat but still a bit different. It was black in colour, its wings were longer, and two long ears stood on the creature's head. But there was a strange membrane just under its mouth, which had small pores all over it.

" That's Toot bat, this creature only comes out in winter or in slightly cold temperatures, I think it must be here to give birth. " Emily was the one who answered his question.

" And what is that thing under its mouth? " Kai asked, and she was a little surprised since he had never been so much interest in any other thing.

" It uses that organ of its body to launch a sound attack, but don't worry, they aren't too hostile and wouldn't hurt anyone as long as you don't get close to them. "

Emily said, then she began to talk with Ron but Kai was completely focused on the bat, he activated his Soul Eye when no one was paying much attention to him.

The way it was absorbing so little energy from the air, was exactly similar to the blazing monkey, but there was some difference in the energy itself, not only that, since the attacking style of the bat was different from the monkey, so was the energy flow that was directed towards the organ right under its mouth.

' It is dispersing the energy all over its body, and is it possible for me to replicate its sound attack? Or could it only be used by that bat?

Even in my previous world, I had used sound related skills to affect the mind of others, it is extremely helpful to stun an opponent. ' Kai wondered to himself, the more he knew about this world the more interested he became.

Then his thoughts were interrupted by Emily's words: " Leo, tell us now, among both of us, whom do you like more? " Kai didn't know how their talk had shifted towards him or towards that topic since he hadn't listened earlier, but he still gave his honest answer.

" Sorry, Dad. " When Ron heard these words, an expression of betrayal appeared on his face, while a big smile formed on Emily's face she gave a soft chuckle and hugged Kai immediately.

Their banter continued, but Kai now had two goals and that were to create the Pseudo - Martial body and also try to replicate the sound attack of the Toot bat, while using his knowledge from the previous world he came from.

He had also made some changes to the Pseudo - Martial Body, after observing the blazing monkey and now he could also observe another beast even more closely.

" So, when are you going out this time? " Emily asked masking her sadness with a small smile.

" If there is no emergency then probably after 4 days, until then I'm here to serve you, Your Majesty. " He said in a flattering manner.

Their talks continued, it was a bit more harder for Kai to sneak out of the house at night since Ron was sleeping in the other room that was just beside their room, and since the doors were quite old, they made a lot of noise when opened.

So Kai had to jump out of the window, he immediately sat cross - legged and began to train.

He knew creating the Pseudo - Martial Body was going to take a lot of time, after all creating something from scratch is a very difficult task even if he had gotten some hints from his mother and the beasts.

So, instead of working on his entire body, Kai began to work on different parts of his body one by one, he knew that until he perfected it, he was going to get injured but now only one part of his body would be injured so he would still be able to train the next day on some other organ or limb and by the time he would return to the first limb it would already have been mostly healed.

This was the method that Kai found since he didn't want to waste weeks after being injured in every try.

Today, he focussed on only his right arm, he used the Soul Eye and observed the energy particles that were closer to his arm, by now even without Soul Eye he could still sense the energy, but controlling the amount of energy was still very difficult so he wasn't taking any chances.

A flood of energy suddenly poured into his right arm, filling it completely from under his shoulder to the tips of his fingers.

He focussed on making it move it in a particular manner, though it was difficult he could still manage to move some particles, but when his body started absorbing them, they would behave like always and start attacking him.

" Ughhh I think I need to deepen my knowledge about it all even further, if my body wasn't still so small I would have tried going into the forest.

But I guess I could do that in a few more years, I'm still not ready, anyway why has the number of blazing monkeys increased recently? "

Kai mumbled to himself before the number of beasts coming out of the forest was at most one or two each month even zero sometimes, but now blazing monkeys were coming out more often and the number have also increased to 3 to 4 each time.

Holding his painful right hand, Kai walked back into the house through the window but not before observing the Toot bat for a few minutes.
