Understanding

Continuation,

Sol went to her room and sat on her bed, feeling numb from what she had just witnessed. She couldn't believe her mother had brought a stranger into their house without warning. She felt a mix of emotions - anger, guilt, disappointment, and sadness. She didn't know how to process everything that had happened.

Sol 's mind raced as she tried to make sense of it all. Her parents' divorce had always been difficult for her to handle, and she still hadn't fully come to terms with it. Seeing her mother with another man brought up all those old feelings of betrayal and abandonment. She felt a lump form in her throat, and tears started to well up in her eyes.

As Sol knew life enough she also knew that her mother deserved to be happy, and she had no problem with her dating other men. However, the sight of her mother with a man in her bed was still shocking to her. It wasn't just about the fact that her mother was dating, but also the lack of communication. Sol felt like her mother had kept this secret from her.

As she sat there, thinking about what to do, wiping the welled-up tears, Sol heard a knock on her door. She opened it to see her mother standing there, looking worried.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Sol asked, feeling nervous about the whole situation.

"I'm sorry, Sol . I didn't know how to tell you about this and also I was not expecting you to be coming home soon today," her mother said, looking ashamed and shameful.

"You didn't have to tell me anything," Sol replied, still feeling confused. "It's just...I wasn't expecting to see you with someone else in bed like that," stuttered Sol nervously still confused about the whole situation.

"I understand, honey, I should have been more open with you about this. It's just...I didn't want to burden you with my personal feelings," said Sol 's mom with guilty eyes while holding Sol 's hands.

On the other hand, Jacy felt bad about having her daughter witness the situation. She didn't want her daughter to know about her boyfriend this way. Like any other human would feel, she was really ashamed at the time when she had to face her daughter after all this.

"It's not a burden to know you mom, I love you, and I just want you to be happy," said Sol with sparkling eyes withholding a lot of emotions.

Both of them sorted the situation out by communicating. For a long time, they didn't communicate much after the divorce in the family, but only for once, it felt good to lift the burden off each other's chest. Sol 's mother was thankful and proud of raising such an understanding child.

After a heartfelt conversation, Sol wanted to go out for a walk since it was a beautiful starry night. She let her mother know she was going out for a walk giving some privacy to her mom and her mother's newly found boyfriend.
