Dark Night

Continuation,

Sol stepped out of the house and sighed heavily looking at the empty streets of her neighbourhood. The night was beautiful, with stars twinkling in the sky and the moon casting a soft glow over everything. At an early age carrying the burden of feeling every emotion of Sol didn't know when and how to let it go. Even the time, Sol walked, she couldn't help but think about her mother's new boyfriend. She wasn't sure how to feel about him, but she knew that she just wanted her mother to be happy.

Even though the night grew cold and darker with time, the walk was peaceful and just what Sol needed. Sol found herself feeling more relaxed than she had in a long time. She realized that she had been holding on to a lot of anger and sadness since the divorce of her parents, and it felt good to finally accept what happened and let it go after all these years.

As Sol walked, she admired the beauty of the night sky. She saw the stars shining brightly, and she felt a sense of peace wash over her. She realized that her problems were small compared to the vastness of the universe. She felt grateful for whatever she had. She wanted to talk to someone about what she had seen, but she wasn't sure who she could turn to and who to rely on. She thought about reaching out to Matteo, but she hesitated to burden Matteo with her problems.

With every step she took, Sol decided to rely on her inner heart. She took a deep breath and tried to focus on the present moment, letting go of her fears and doubts. She reminded herself that her mother deserved to be happy and that she was proud to be a supportive daughter.

She started walking the way home. She kept walking in the dark when she saw somebody in the dark sitting on the street bench with a cigar lit in his hands. He looked sad and lost in the beautiful sky. The smoke covered his face with every puff he took. Sol was admiring the man from afar, she walked closer unable to keep up to her curiosity. Her heart skipped a beat with every step she took, which made her more desperate to know who it was. She walked so near, that the man himself realized someone's presence and turned his body to delight.

"Oh it's you Delight, we keep running into each other today," said the man with his raspy voice running his fingers through his wavy hair. Delight's eyes widened as she noticed who the man was. The man was none other than her professor, Benjamin who looked effortlessly stunning in that night.

"o..oh indeed professor," stuttered Sol again in shock unable to gather any more words than that with an increased heartbeat.

"Sit down," demanded Benjamin patting the empty space on the bench right next to him. He was natural he did even flinch once during the whole situation.
