Renzo stood on the balcony for quite a long time, his brain muddled with thoughts. Staring at the magnificent scenery of the garden below his mansion, Renzo felt at peace. Despite the persistent coldness, he didn't seem to be bothered by it. His dark eyes were misty with emotions that he hid for a very long time.
"Are you the one I'm looking for? If so, what happened before....before you entered that scary place?" he choked on his words, tightening the grip on the balcony rail.
He stared at the garden below his mansion and for a moment he felt it lost its beauty. He decided to return to his room. Asari rested on the large king-sized bed, her long black hair spread on the pillow. Her frail body was wrapped by the large duvet. However, Asari was a light sleeper since childhood thus she felt the bed sink beside her.
She already knew who it was but mere thinking of him sleeping beside her brought goosebumps to her entire body. Renzo caressed her smooth hair, sending shivers down the Asari he thought to be asleep.
He inched closer to her face and examined her delicate porcelain features which were carved in perfect proportions. He had missed her deeply and since he hadn't seen her for almost decades since that year his desires began rising.
He battled with them until he finally won. Quickly propping a gentle kiss on her forehead, Renzo left the room. He needed to cool down and take things slow not to scare her. He finally concluded to conduct a thorough investigation into her, especially what happened to her all those years.
Renzo entered his study room fully dressed in a pair of jeans and a black polo t-shirt. He flicked his fingers and in a split second, clad in a black suit tall man appeared.
"You summoned me, M'lord," bowed the man.
"Conduct a thorough investigation about what happened to Daslo state ten years ago. Don't miss out on even a single detail. I need the report in 3 days," he commanded.
"Yes, My lord," resolved the man and quickly vanished.
Daslo state was the empire shared by the Vespers and Tylers. The Vespers belonged to the werewolf race while the Tylers were vampires. However, the empire was dissolved after the battle between the two races.
Renzo was a man of determination and once he put his eyes on something, he wouldn't let go until the end. He stared at the pile of documents at hand and lost the morale to work.
"I need a breeze, " he whispered and left the sturdy and went to the parking lot. A car key dangled around his long slender piano finger.
Arriving at the park yard, he headed towards a Volkswagen that was parked at the furthest end of the yard. It looked like tonight he wanted to be low profile. After all, he neither lacked admirers nor enemies.
He raced towards the bustling city of Legalese with the cold breeze sifting into his car through the window, ruffling his long white hair. A couple of minutes later, he parked his car in front of a large building with the word 'Club Ambiance' carved at the top.
Neon lights were wrapped on top making the word sparkle brightly. Two bouncers stood at the entrance gazing at the people that entered the club.
Club Ambiance was among Renzo's properties, however, few people knew about it. He was known as the Legalese King, he ruled the city. Renzo was the heir to an ancient vampire Kingdom, however, he fled his kingdom as he didn't want to get involved with the family disputes within.
Instead, he decided to build an empire of his own hence the entire city stood under his rule. What else could he opt for when everything was under him?
Renzo entered the vicinities oClubub Ambias, as usual, he had his face masked to avoid attention. He had approached a bar counter when a beautiful female hugged by a skimpy bareback black dress approached him. She placed her slender fingers on his shoulder, tracing his lean strong muscles.
Edging closer to his ear, she whispered, "Hey, handsome. You had someone tonight?"
Renzo heeds no attention to her antiques and he was already agitated by her scent. Making it worse, she wore a strong fume that managed to sift through his mask.
Renzo took a golden electronic card from an immaculately dressed man at the counter and nodded his head. As if understanding his signal, the man countersigned two random men who suddenly appeared behind the woman.
The woman felt her body dragged away from her prey.
However, what she didn't know was that she had messed with the wrong figure. Renzo didn't hate women but he hated women who threw themselves at him.
They were one-night standers; after picking what they wanted and they would disappear. However, having got a delicate waiting at his mansion, thinking about it, he felt warm. Deep down in his heart, his soul belonged only to her and no one else.
Renzo placed the golden card on the security scanner at the door entrance.
The scanner beeped and the door hauled open. He swiftly walked through the door which closed behind him. The other side of the door was a private lounge, soft music playing in the background and this was Renzo's specialty.
He approached a large sofa that was placed in the corner of the lounge. Below he could see his vigorous club and a variety of people entered and left as they wished. However, Renzo wasn't in a good mood. How could he be when she had suffered in the past?
He filed out the drawer at the large table before him and retrieved a large bottle of Hennessy. A type of drink he fancied on all sorts of occasions. He poured himself a glass of Hennessy and gulped it in one go. He felt the burning sensation run down his throat. Instead of drowning his worries, he became more agitated when he suddenly recalled something.
"I don't remember anything," she said in almost a whisper but he heard it. His heart ached and he suddenly felt suffocated.
Despite having a large empire and all the money, his heart felt hollow. Now that he had found her, he won't let her go.
