CHAPTER 7: Cursed spirit

Ryu's teacher, Mr Rudeous was a curse user and a very nice man who is fair and taught them everything they needed to know about curse energy and especially humanities greatest enemy apart from themselves, Cursed spirits.

He explained that during those days when humans had less knowledge about curse energy, a regular phenomenon always occurred, which was known as Rebirth.

Each time an individual( a curse user ) curse energy spirals out if control, its ends up killing the individual from the inside out. But when the negative energy or the curse spirals out of control and a negative emotion is mixed with it such as anger, rage, sadness, depression or even fear. These emotions will hasten the process and as the curse user dies by the hands of his own power.

A new being is then born, an immortal being with curse energy and techniques unlike anything one could ever imagine and they could only be seen by other curse users. Then early human thought of it as the reincarnation of thier lost ones but that wasn't the case. Then process gave birth to monsters who's purpose is to kill and destroy without aim. These monster were then called curse spirits,

Mr Rudeous also explained their ranking based on age, the modern research has giving humans knowledge on thier rank and as thier power increase with thier age or how long they lived.

D rank -- 5----10yrs

Semi C ----- 25---40yrs

C rank ----- 40---65yrs

Semi B rank ------- 70 --- 84yrs

B rank ----90- 160yrs

Destructive class curse--200--450yrs

Disaster class Curse - 500 ---- 900yrs

Apocalyptic Class curse -900---above

He also explained how they can be easily known through the curse energy they release and by thier curse decay aura they emit. And also how they prey and kill non curse user.

Not assive they can't go after curse users but they found it easier to target the weak rather than target something which can still put up a fight. Mr Rudeous words gave they class a frightened look on thier faces including Ryu who got frightened on hearing the Apocalyptic class curse. The non curse users were the most frightened because thier greatest threat is something they can't see coming.

Mr Rudeous eyes widened as he saw the frightened look on his students faces as he explained. The looks on thier faces wanted to make him burst into laughter but he controlled himself and smiled,

"But there's no need to be afraid" He assured them.

"Just like the way curse spirit spirits have ranks that's how many curse hunting organization are training people fight against curse spirits" Mr Rudeous explained.

"Do they also have ranks" a non curse user(Girl) raised his hand and asked,

" yes they do" Mr Rudeous responded,

"Can you by chance name them" the girl asked.

"I don't see why not" Mr Rudeous said, and then he began to list,

On hearing the list on hearing the list of ranks Ryu's raised up his hand to ask a question.

Mr Rudeous turned to look at him,

" Do you have something to say" Mr Rudeous asked Ryu, wanting to hear what he had to say.

"A question" Ryu stood up and said and getting the entire class attention, just by hearing his voice.

"OK ask away" Mr Rudeous said to Ryu wanting to hear his question.

Then an unexpected question from Ryu,

"How strong is an S rank curse user" Ryu asked in his dull tone. The question made the entire class turn from Ryu to Mr Rudeous as the question peeked thier attention.

Mr Rudeous smiled at the question,

" how strong is an S rank" Mr Rudeous said and laughed getting the whole class confused, he stopped and turned to Ryu

"They are so strong to the extent that when they want to fight an entire city is evacuated Mr Rudeous said

*GASP*

The entire class was shocked by the answer and Ryu's eyes were widened in shock,

" A single S rank can turn an entire city to a dessert when they fight all out" Mr Rudeous said, but Ryu still had a question he needed an answer to.

"Sir" he said getting both Mr Rudeous and the entire class attention.

"Can an S rank curse user destroy apocalyptic class curse spirit" Ryu's asked,

"Not alone" Mr Rudeous immediately responded,

" But when a squad of S rank curse user clash with an apocalyptic class curse spirit it will definitely lead to the end of the whole world as we know" Mr Rudeous explained,

"Thank you" Ryu's said and a and sat down to his seat.

Then another curse user (male) stood up,

"Sir whats your rank" he asked making the entire class to turn and look at him and then back thier teacher. Ryu turned to the boy and was surprised.
