CHAPTER 28 : COMMUNICATION

"Communication is key"

Max said as he took a left turn and Ryu followed from behind.

They walked through the underground headquarters for about a minute before Ryu noticed Maximus pace slowing down. As they walked Ryu noticed something unusual ahead of him,.

A little bit ahead of him, he could see someone. Though it was not clear but he was sure that this someone was seated directly on an iron table. They got closer and closer and Maximus stopped directly in front of the table.

A boy around his age was seated on the table with his legs crossed assive he owns the place. The boys features were cute, he had dark red hair, blood colour pupils in his eyes and had a dull expression on his face with no emotion.

"Hmm"

Ryu mustered to himself seeing the guys emotionless eyes staring blankly at one Direction.

"his not even aware of our presence" Ryu said inwardly,

"Hermes how are you" Max said, as both him and Ryu approached the table the boy was seated on. The dark red pupils in his eyes moved to the left facing them with his face still fixed in his position.

"Good" was Hermes response,

Max turned around to face Ryu.

"Ryu this is Hermes"

Max said, Ryu knew that the dull looking creature before him was a curse user as he sensed curse energy radiating from his body.

Ryu stared at the boy's dull face, his skin pale assive he was a vampire, well with his features he looks like one.

Max noticed Ryu's gaze fixed on Hermes, but Hermes didn't bother or care less and kept his dull expression.

"You've been training?" Max asked and Hermes sluggishly nodded his head. Ryu's listened out of curiosity,

"What type of technique does he posses that makes look like the undead" He asked himself.

Max turned around to face Ryu,

"Hermes curse technique is blood Manipulation" He said and Ryu was shocked, in all his thoughts he never considered that the undead before him was blood a manipulator.

But that wasn't the only surprise,

"Type C"

Max said and Ryu's dull expression fell as his eyes widened in shock and his jaws dropped.

Ryu was more than aware of the ancient curse technique Blood manipulation Type A to C. Although being very powerful because it existed before,the one disadvantage of an ancient curse technique is that information regarding the technique would leak and the knowledge on it would spread. Ryu's read books(not just the typical textbook you'll see in school) and read on blood manipulation. He was really intrigued by the technique and studied on it,

Type A blood manipulation is a technique ( A curse user can only have 1 out of the 3 types) which is specially for Long range. The user inflicts injury on he/herself, then quicken his heart beat and applies pressure to his arteries and veins. Directing high pressured blood which would eject out of the injury, if the pressure applied is high blood ejected would be twice as fast as a bullet with enough speed and force to slice through metals. Speed and force all depend on the pressure applied.

Type B blood Manipulation is a technique which specializes on short range combat. Like Type A the user inflicts damage on he/herself, he or she then controls the blood. Turning he or her own blood into a weapon of he/her choice , like knives, swords. This is due to the user ability to harden their blood, and not just to form weapons. A user can also reinforce a part of thier body engolfing it with blood for extra protection and defense.

Last but not the least is Type C, it is a technique which comprises of both Type A and Type B techniques but with a little twist. It is said that Users with Type C blood manipulation have a sort of secret technique, but it is unknown. Basically because of the fact that the great master of the Rushino Clan which produced the highest population of Curse blood users didn't want anymore information about the secret technique to be leaked, so the Clan basically spread out and cleared all traces of the secret techniques and other was said that those who knew about it apart from the Clan members vanished.

"History is a dark place"

Ryu said inwardly as his face changed and became dull once more.

"So that's why he looks like someone suffering from a disease" Ryu said in a dull tone.

Hermes was shocked by Ryu's words and lazily turned his head to look at Ryu's as his pupils suddenly gave off a crimson glow as he stared at Ryu trying to intimidate him. But Ryu on the other hand stared at him with a dull expression and with his pupils glowing. Both boys stared at each other as the air around them became heavy, assive at any moment from now they would lash out at one another.

"Stop now both of you"

Max said with a serious tone and both boys comported themselves and broke their gaze from one another. The atmosphere changed back to normal, to be honest Max didn't think Ryu would listen to him.

"Common Ryu let me introduce you to someone else" Max said and turned, walking forward away from Hermes and Ryu's followed from behind.

Hermes stated at Ryu's as he left,

"Hmm I kinda like that guy"
