Chapter 2 The trashy webtoon 2

A few hours later, Way woke up or rather something woke him up. To be precise, he was woken up by something or rather a person's cry. He softly opened his eyes still abit drowsy from his sleep. He was till abit tired as he had only slept for an hour after tossing around the bed barely getting any sleep.

His normal insomnia that made him spend at least an hour or two before finally sleep kicked in. So he hated being woken up from his sleep as it would take another hour to get back to it. After a few minutes, he finally sat up his eyebrows crouched up softly. Despite just being twenty-three years old, he was a bit mature especially with the work he did.

A few seconds later, he noticed something was wrong. There was nothing but silence which was also weird. His sister Wave wasn't one who would just stay quiet in the house so the atmosphere was too strange. He looked around the room, the unfamiliar chandeliers and drapiers. Everything looked so expensive and classy inside.

"Wait, where am I? Am I still dreaming? Ooh, I might be dreaming, let me just go back to sleep but this is a bit nice maybe I'll just walk around and enjoy my moment," he uttered softly. Being partly awake and partly asleep, he couldn't think properly.

He walked towards the what seemed like the bathroom but suddenly heard the unfamiliar voice that had woken him up from his sleep.

He suddenly stopped for a split second as he tried listening to it again and then turned towards the door and walked out as he followed the voice.

"Ah, jeez why is my dream so weird today," he said almost in a whisper. He softly followed the voice and stopped in front of a man. His face was pale with droplets of blood all over him but that couldn't change the fact that he was still extremely handsome.

"He looks very familiar," Way thought.

"Help me," the handsome man said weakly. Way gave it a thought and then slowly knelt in front of him. Being a student doctor, he didn't have much experience so he reached out to his pocket to retrieve his phone but it was empty.

"Help me please," the handsome man said again.

"Wait here, I'll go find help," Way replied quickly. But suddenly realized, he was in a dream.

"Yeah, I'm dreaming everything here isn't real so why would I help him anyway?" He thought but after glancing at him one more time, he rushed downstairs.

"There is someone injured upstairs, call an ambulance," he walked into what seemed like a kitchen or a restaurant and then yelled as he grabbed anything he could find.

He didn't have time to look around but guessed that where he was probably inside a hotel or something.

"Stay with me, the ambulance will be here soon," Way uttered softly.

He took out the a needle from his pocket and as he stared at it, his hands shook slightly.

"I can do it, I have to save him or else he won't make it in time," he uttered still unsure of what to do.

"Ah, jeez why am I undecided," he sighed heavily.

"I've called the ambulance don't do anything if you are undecided," one of the hotel staffs stomped into the room.

"He won't make it in time, he has lost a lot of blood and his pulse is also very weak if I don't do it now he won't make it," Way explained as he compressed his wound with a cloth.

After a few seconds, he decided to do what he wanted to do. He was still a doctor after all. Even though he had not taken any patient it still couldn't change the fact that he was one.

"The ambulance is here, please step aside," the hotel staff said after a while.

"Shouldn't you utter at least a thank you for saving him? He would have died you know," Way said as he took a step back.

"Thank you for what you did, I'm the hotel manager how can we thank you back? This is my card," a man dressed in a navy blue suit stepped forward.

"Never mind, it's a dream so we won't even have a chance to meet but even if it's a dream I'm lucky I helped someone," Way replied as he walked away leaving the manager and the hotel staff dumbfounded and clueless.

"A dream?" The manager turned to the hotel staff.

"He is probably crazy," the hotel staff chuckles.

"Find out the identity of the injured man and then report to me," he ordered.

"Yes, managed I'll take my leave now," the hotel staff said before walking away.

The next moment, Way woke up on his bed. He looked around the old rusty room and then nodded his head in approval. This was his room. He stared at his clothes and hand, he was covered in droplets of blood.

"Wasn't that a dream earlier?" He thought.

"Yeah, it was but why did everything feel so real?" He couldn't help but ask himself but he had no answer or clue about it. He stood up and then walked towards the bathroom to wash up.

After a couple of minutes, he went to the living room where his mother was watching her usual tv series.

"You're up, lunch is on the table," she said with a smile.

"Wave?" He asked softly.

"What about her? She quit drawing and is somewhere looking for a job," she explained.

He uttered a soft ooh before walking to the dining room.

"I'm going to the hospital, I'll be back a bit late so don't wait for me today," Way said after having his meal.

"Okay, take care of yourself and don't forget to bring your key with you,"

"Mmmh, I'm off now," he replied.

"Wait, don't you have at least two hours before your shift starts?" She checked the time and then said.

"I do, I'm meeting up with a friend first," after saying that, Way walked away.
