Chapter 13 Choices have consequences

You are the protagonists of the webtoon that is why you were dragged in for no reason you are now responsible for it whether it's going to be a happy ending or a sad ending that's up to you both,"

"Wait, what is this? Did you just tell Aidan to marry you in the webtoon?" Layla slowly looked up with mixed feelings.

"Whaat? Where is it? I didn't read it," Wave moved closer to her as she tried to read that part.

"What was that about? Aren't you moving too fast? Speak up why did you say it?" Layla asked.

"Did you fall in love with Aidan?" Wave asked after a while.

"No, I don't know I just said it I don't know how I spurted it out okay and I'm not in love with Aidan. Anyway that's not the point now have you read everything?" He glanced at them.

"Yeah, and?"

"What should I do? This time I literally disappeared in front of him plus he was already so suspicious of me, I don't know how to face him when I get dragged back in. Have you figured out anything? Why am I still getting dragged? And how do I get back?" Way bombarded them with questions.

"I don't know Way, what happened before you got back here, maybe we can try and figure it out from there," wave replied softly.

"Nothing really, after telling him about the marriage I found myself here that's it," he said unsure of what Wave wanted.

"Any expressions? Or any change that you noticed? That's what Wave is trying to ask," Layla chipped in.

"Mmmh, nothing I can't think of anything," he said.

"There has to be something, don't overthink it just try and remember," Layla replied.

"I just know Aidan was a bit shocked when I asked him, it was something he didn't expect," he finally spoke after some thought.

Layla and Wave stared at each other in silence for a couple of seconds before one of them spoke.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Seeing Wave nod her head, Layla turned to Way.

"Since when did you two get so close?" Way said as he watched their interactions.

"It's not the time for that Way," Layla replied.

"Okay, this is what we think, the change of emotions might be the reason why you got back here and also just my speculations since you became a protagonist I think Aidan can drag you or summon you into the webtoon even if he isn't in danger," Wave explained.

"I'm not sure, it's just a thought I was the cartoonist but at this moment, I'm just a side track like everyone else waiting and vouching for your love," she added.

"So does that mean you can't do anything about it? Something like ending the webtoon or preventing me from getting dragged in? And love? What love Aidan is just a character from the webtoon,"

"Who talked about Aidan? And to answer your question yes I can't do anything about it, I tried ending the webtoon but you saw what the results was,"

"I got dragged in," Way completed the sentence.

"Exactly, which only means it's not my place anymore and the impossible can happen even if he is a webtoon character," Wave said.

At this point, she wasn't sure of anything. The fictional characters were coming to life slowly by slowly she didn't know if the world she created was going to be a good thing or a bad thing. She was unsure of everything even if she was sure, she couldn't do anything. She was more afraid of the consequences that came with her choice.

"Choices have consequences," Layla spoke after a long silence.

"Yeah, choices have consequences," Wave repeated. As time went by, they began understanding everything. Wave had once made a choice to end the webtoon completely by killing the main character and her consequence was Way being dragged into the webtoon.

"Now that you are a protagonist, I'm not even sure if I can end the webtoon. I'm not sure of the outcome and I won't find out," Wave said as he glanced at his brother.

"Aaww, you love me that much?" Way couldn't help but tease her.

"Shut up! I'm afraid it will cause mom trouble," she smiled slightly.

"What should we do now?"

"We do nothing, just live your life as usual," Wave replied.

"What if I get dragged in the middle of an important surgery? Huuh? What then? I'm already having enough troubles with the director, shouldn't you do something at least," Way sulked a bit.

"He has a point, he isn't the director's favorite person currently," Layla intervened.

"And is that my problem? The director loves you I don't know why, we aren't too different why does he always favor you?" He glared at Layla.

"Maybe, if you spend your time in the emergency room to improve your skills maybe the director will love you," Layla replied.

"Ooh, I'm sorry I'm not as hardworking as you are Miss emergency room," Way mocked her as he stuck his tongue out.

"Ooh, are you mocking me? This is why the director loves scolding you each day,"

"Okay, enough you two now isn't the time for your bickering," Wave yelled slightly.

"He started it," Layla glared at Way.

"Did you just give me a glare?" Way spoke furiously.

"Yeah, what will you do about it? Huuh? Mr. glare," Layla smirked.

"You..." Way couldn't help but clench his fists in anger.

"Me? Are you speechless? Why don't you use your mouth?" Layla watched as Way gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"Now stop both of you," Wave stood up in anger. She couldn't take it anymore. She finally felt and understood Layla's pain each time she bickered with Way.

"Can you do that elsewhere?" She glared at Way and Layla.

"We are sorry," they said at once.

"Good, if there is nothing else I'm going to look for something to eat,"

"Wait, I still have one more question," Layla spoke up stopping her.

"What now?" Wave asked.

"If Way can get into the comic does that mean the others can come out? Like Aidan for instance," she turned to Wave curiously waiting for the answer.
