Chapter 14 Two variables

She couldn't take it anymore. She finally felt and understood Layla's pain each time she bickered with Way.

"Can you do that elsewhere?" She glared at Way and Layla.

"We are sorry," they said at once.

"Good, if there is nothing else I'm going to look for something to eat,"

"Wait, I still have one more question," Layla spoke up stopping her.

"What now?" Wave asked.

"If Way can get into the comic does that mean the others can come out? Like Aidan for instance," she turned to Wave curiously waiting for the answer.

"I just couldn't help but think about it, what if they can do the same will that be a problem by any chance? From the movies and books is there a problem when the main character finds out the truth?" Layla asked again.

"You watch too many dramas and novels," Way replied.

"Just shut up Way, let's hear it from Wave I'm just concerned that's it," Layla eyed him for a few seconds before turning to Wave.

They stared at Wave in silence anxiously waiting for her answer.

"I'm actually not sure, I didn't think of that," Wave said after a while. It was something she didn't think of but from what she knew if that indeed happened, it would mean total chaos but she couldn't say it just yet. After all it was just a guess for her, the fact that she created and was responsible for that fiction webtoon didn't mean she knew everything about it. If she knew everything about it, she would have probably stopped Way from being dragged in.

She didn't want to accept it but at this point she was clueless like them.

"What do you think? Let's just say assumptions," Layla asked curiously. Wave stared at her eyes and could easily fathom what Layla wanted to hear. She then glanced at Way and he had the same gaze. She was good at reading people's reaction and gaze as she was keen in interpreting.

From their gaze, she came up with something, they all wanted to hear something comforting but lying to them was it really worth it at this point? She didn't know but what she knew at that point was that they were all in this together and every outcome would most likely affect them.

After some thinking, Wave finally spoke up. She wanted to speak her mind. The people in front of her were not just ordinary people but people she loved and cared so they probably hoped she could at least know anything about what was happening.

"I don't know maybe?" She finally spoke up.

She paused for a while watching their reactions but they were as expressionless as ever so she replied again," or maybe not."

That was that answer she had at that moment. There were two variables. It was actually a clear fact and truth that where there was choices, there had to be consequences and variables to prevent it be it good or bad.

"But, what I think," she continued," is that if the main character knows the truth or if Way reveals everything it would create a high possibility of happening."

"In a scale of one to ten or in percentage form? How many? Give me a number," Layla replied.

She wanted to be sure just in case it really happened.

"I guess 90%," Wave raised her eye brows slightly as she said that. She wasn't quite sure herself but since Layla wanted a number she had to give her a number.

"Say something don't just be quiet all this is in your hands, I haven't even gotten rich yet" Layla tapped Way's hand.

"Keep dreaming," Way replied.

"Way? This isn't the time for that," Wave said seriously.

"What should I say?" Way glanced at them.

"Maybe you should say and promise that you won't reveal the truth how about that Way, can we count on you? Can we?" Layla spoke.

Way turned to Wave making cute puppy eyes as if asking for her support and back up.

"Don't look at me, I can't help you we all know how well you work with secrets," Wave said.

Way indeed worked well with secrets, he kept them pretty well but that wouldn't mean he wouldn't say them. Under excessive pressure, he would end up giving in that was one of his weakness.

"So? What will you do?"

"Of course, I will keep it a secret I'm good with secrets I have kept a lot of yours," he replied.

"Are you sure? What if he calls the cops?" Wave asked.

"He wouldn't dare plus did you add cops in the webtoon? Maybe there aren't any cops, it's just a webtoon guys don't take it too seriously," Way smiled slightly as he tried to hide his nervousness. But that didn't go unnoticed.

"Didn't you say the other day that it's a normal world like ours?" Layla spoke up.

"Yeah, I did," Way replied confidently.

"And?" Wave said.

It was at that moment that he knew he was bursted.

"We can't trust him," Layla turned to Wave after a couple of seconds.

"Yeah, I know we can't," Wave said.

"What should we do now?" They had to find a solution as a back up at least.

"Come up with something at least, what do you have in mind?" Layla asked.

"Nothing, I need some time to think it through,"

"Hey guys, I'm still here don't treat me like air and I can be trusted I won't tell him I promise," Way couldn't take it anymore. They spoke as if he wasn't in the room totally ignoring his presence.

"Just shut up Way, this is serious business," Wave said not sparing him a single glance.

"Let's make a bet, do you dare?" Way spoke again.

"Are you sure? You literally lose every bet we make aren't you embarrassed enough?" Layla spoke earning her a laugh from Wave.

"This time it's different my life is on the line," he added.

"Oooh really?" Wave said.

"Yeah,"

"So what is it going to be Way, what do you want to place a bet on since your life is on the line the stakes should be something worth betting for. Don't you think so?" Layla said with a smirk.

"Yeah, why not," Way said confidently.

"Will you be able to take it? I'm going big and grand Way,"

"Bring it on, I'll be able to take it don't worry," Way was as confident as ever.

"Fine, you said it no take backs,"

"Fine, no take backs I don't do such don't worry," he replied.

"I want your baby," Layla said proudly as she wat he'd his reactions.
