After thirty minutes, they arrived at the company. It was Way's second time but he was still awed by how high the skyscraper was. He watched the employees rushing inside the company.
"Why did we stop?" He turned to Aidan who had just parked in front of the company.
"Why? It's my company I can park my car anywhere," Aidan said proudly as he raised his eyebrows.
"Ooh, I forgot that that's how rich people are," Way teased him. He wasn't used to this lifestyle.
"I have something for you," Aidan said. It was at that moment that Way realized Aidan had his hands behind him.
"What is it?" Way asked excitedly. Apart from his family and best friend, no one had ever gifted him anything so he had mixed feelings about it.
"But, I don't have anything, is that okay?" He said softly. He didn't know how to feel. All he had were unfamiliar and distant feelings. It was all new to him.
Aidan smiled at him and then softly carressed his cheeks.
"I have something that is more important so just be my good little kiddo," he said.
"What are you referring to? I don't understand, what's more important?" Way asked curiously.
"You will understand when you are older," Aidan told him off. He was just a love fool.
"Am I not older? Wait did you just insult me?" Way was getting more and more confused.
"Forget it, close your eyes," Aidan said.
"No peeking," he added.
"I won't, I'm getting curious let's get this over with," Way said excitedly.
"On the count of three, one, two, three open your eyes."
"Is this...is this mine? Did you customize it? For me? It has my name on it, when did you...do you always carry it with you? I'm sorry I'm just so happy, I don't know what to say," he was totally speechless. He couldn't believe that Aidan had prepared it and from the looks of it. He had prepared it a long time ago.
"Do you like it?" Aidan broke the silence. The truth was, Aidan had prepared the necklace and had been carrying it for a while now. He was looking for the right time but there was never going to be a right time.
"Like it? I love it are you kidding me, this is the best gift ever," he said excitedly.
"Turn around, I'll help you with it," Aidan said trying to hide his nervousness. He wasn't sure what Way would say when he asked him that question. He didn't know if he was going too fast all he wanted was to make him officially his but he couldn't cause Way's opinion mattered to him most.
"Mmh," he replied turning around.
After he was done, Way looked at the beautiful necklace with awe. It looked extremely expensive and elegant. It wasn't too shiny something simple perfect for him.
"Thank you," he turned to Aidan and then said sincerely. The word 'thank you' felt like it wasn't just for the necklace but for everything.
"But," he suddenly spoke up as if reality hitting him. His facial expressions suddenly stopped his face engulfed with a solemn expression. Aidan immediately got worried seeing his expression.
"What is it? Is something wrong?" He asked.
"No, I'm just," he stuttered for a while. Aidan watched as he took off his necklace. He knew the necklace was extremely important to Way since he always had it on.
"You don't need to," Aidan said trying to stop him. He knew what Way was up to and what he was thinking.
"It's okay, you gave me something important plus you have done so much for me. I know you gave me this necklace so that I can think of you when we part right?" Seeing Aidan nod in reply he smiled and then continued," since you want me to always think about you shouldn't you do the same with me?" Way asked. Aidan nodded in return understanding what Way was trying to say.
"I want to give you this necklace because it's important to me and you are also important to me, so please keep it well. It's not expensive and all that but it has my heart in it."
Way took his necklace and then placed it in Aidan's palm.
"Thank you, I'll keep it safe, this means so much," Aidan said softly kissing the necklace. He felt extremely happy. He knew that he had finally earned Way's trust.
"Can you?" He lifted his hand towards Way.
"Mmh sure," Way replied. They mutually understood each other without having to fully communicate.
"It's beautiful," Aidan stared at the necklace and then turned to Way. He carressed Way's cheeks softly and then murmured," I'm sorry but..."
Aidan immediately leaned forward and forcibly kissed Way. He couldn't take it anymore. His patience had finally reached its limit. After what felt like a year, he withdrew and then stared deep into his eyes waiting for his reaction. It all happened so fast he didn't expect to steal his kiss so soon.
"I'm sorry I..." Before he could complete his sentence, Way was already on top of his lap kissing him ferociously. They had no care in the world it was just the two of them.
They were suddenly interrupted by Aidan's ringing phone.
"Your phone," Way said trying to pull away shyly. He didn't know what had happened. He couldn't explain it but what he knew was that he loved every inch of it.
"Just ignore it," Aidan said trying to pull him into another kiss.
"We are in front of the company maybe we should stop, I'll go buy coffee I'll meet you upstairs in your office," Way hurriedly jumped out of the car with eyes filled with embarrassment.
"What is it?" Aidan angrily picked up the call. Mark immediately knew he was dead. Aidan's voice was enough to tell him that he had picked the wrong time.
"Ooh, sorry did I misdial? Hehehe," He immediately hunged up the call. Aidan picked up his jacket suit and then walked to the company. Despite his assistant's interruption he was still in an extremely good mood. He whistled happily as he walked to his elevator shocking the employees around. As soon as he walked in his office, someone immediately jumped towards him. He subconsciously hugged the person and suddenly heard his assistant call him his eyes staring elsewhere. He followed his eye sight and immediately spotted Way standing a few meters behind him. It was at that moment that he realized he was hugging someone. The first thing that he looked at was Way's eyes, he shook his head watching Way's disappointed expression with no words to explain himself. He wanted to rush to him but he was glued to the floor dejectedly watching Way rushing out.
