Emerlinda did her very best to survive and save Gofumina out of pure selflessness. And as she protected her and fended off the Emerald Knights with her powers, her Arcana rapidly ran out.

If it hadn't been because she was confronted by the Emerald Paladin, she might've had a better chance, but right now, she was being outnumbered and overpowered.

She had managed to mortally wound one of the Knights, but that didn't seem to matter at all; the bastard was still moving around as if nothing, like a zombie.

She was thrown down into the ground beneath, wounded and with her energies low right now, and then the knights took the opportunity to strike her down.

"Prepare yourself to melt into nothing!"

"Your flesh and blood shall become her meals!"

"The Emerald Maiden awaits you within her endless gastric juices!"

"Perish and become her sustenance!"

As their swords were millimeters from piercing her skin after her armor was broken…

Out of nowhere, a powerful and invisible force slammed them away while they were in midair! The force was shaped like a hand, quickly followed after them, crushing them into the ground with tremendous pressure and weight.

The cultists were shocked, screaming as they felt the presence but could barely comprehend what it was or where it even came from.

As the Cultists panicked, Ermelinda smiled, her eyes full of new hope, noticing that Camilla was floating right above her; the girl had followed her when she saw Emerlinda descending to help a struggling goblin.

"Camilla! You're here!"

Camilla's long, silvery-white hair waved in the wind as the girl looked at the bad guys while furrowing her eyebrows; for her age, she was a very serious girl.

Her aura warped her surroundings, making the entire sky around her tremble…

After her first class change, Camilla had changed completely; her talents were more than clear and evident now, and above all, she was catching up with her brother very fast!

"Emerlinda… You shouldn't have come here just to save some random person you saw screaming for help…" Camilla sighed, looking at her new friend. "But I admire that brave heart of yours."

"I-I'm sorry… but I just can't stand still! What if it's a quest?! I can't miss it!" Emerlinda said something that Camilla didn't expect.

"An Esper… I didn't expect to meet someone of your caliber here… But it does not matter! Everything is the same in front of the Emerald Maiden's eyes!"

The Emerald Paladin confronted Camilla, rushing towards her the moment he spotted her, and swinging his massive sword against her, his powerful emerald-colored aura erupted into countless eyes and tentacles, rushing towards her the moment he attacked.

CRAAASH!

The attack was immense, as an explosion of emerald flames erupted and reached the dark skies. Emerlinda panicked as she slowly stood up, taking potions from her inventory and drinking them to feel better, her Arcana also slowly restored.

"Camilla!"

As she called for her in between everything, she poured potions over Gofumina while trying to take out her armor but failing to do so as the armor constantly rejected her touch, giving her painful zaps of electricity.

"Ouch! W-What's this? Ah! Camila! Is she ok?!"

The smoke dissipated, revealing Camilla was indeed alright; her Psychic Aura protected her, resembling a huge cocoon made of metal with sharp spikes surrounding her.

It was still semitransparent, but her Psychic Power could now take upon physical forms, to a temporary and limited extent.

"Hmph, you possess great power… Espers are troublesome indeed, mutants with tremendous mind powers that shouldn't exist!" The Emerald Paladin pushed his sword, beginning to shatter Camilla's barrier. "And I will make sure you're one of those that die right now!"

"You know more about Espers…?" Camilla didn't care about the danger but asked this question the moment she heard her opponent talking about Espers as if they were some kind of group of people.

Crack, crack…!

CRAAASH!

Her barrier shattered as the emerald sword reached her within an instant, about to slice through her body, only for Camilla's innocent face to suddenly become…

Her eyes turned completely black, and her hair became tentacle-like, moving around, wiggling.

An explosion of emerald light got her, engulfing her completely…

And yet, it all began to gather within a single point, the impact, the shockwave, even the power used to strike her down.

The Emerald Paladin felt his sword being pulled by a tremendous gravitational force as he saw a small black hole floating above Camilla's hand.

This black hole created such an immense gravity force that it instantly negated any damage against her within a ten-meter radius around it, absorbing it all.

"I am not weak, you know?"

She spoke as if she were a completely different person.

The darkness and psychic power gathered into the black hole, rapidly compressing into a sphere of gray color.

The sphere was thrown by Camilla's fingers as if it were nothing but a small little speck of dust.

And yet, as it reached the Emerald Paladin…

A massive explosion engulfed him completely; his powerful Aura was instantly negated and dissipated as his armor and weapon shattered into pieces.

"I-Impossible…!"

The man vomited blood, realizing there was a huge hole in his right shoulder, which took away his whole right arm and also half his lung, heart, and ribs.

He fell from the skies, bleeding out as his armor and weapons fell from the sky like small fragments of emerald jewels; his body collapsed on the rainforest's grassy ground, breaking his bones as his body splattered like it was nothing.

"An orc? That explains why he was so big!" Camilla gasped, her personality going back to normal. "Oh wow… I really did it now, didn't I? Emerlinda! Right!"

She rushed down to check on Emerlinda, finding her struggling against the Emerald Knights again. The four bastards were still going at it, as Camilla distracted herself; her grip over them was gone.

"Hey you! Stop that! NOW!"
