Knock, knock!

Vlad heard someone knocking at the door, immediately knowing who it was and sighing. He slowly moved to the door, and without forgetting he cannot give more than three steps, he simply floated there.

He opened the door slowly, as a gorgeous Vampiress greeted him, although she was rather angry. It was Vlad's mother, crossing her arms as she glared at her son as if she were looking at walking trash!

"H-Hello, mother…"

He tried his best to act casually, but his mother quickly started talking before he could even say another word.

"Vlad! We have a lot to talk about! Why did you suddenly disappear yesterday when it was such an important moment? You brought a bunch of goblins to my country, and we had to hurriedly create a Blood Binding Vow with them, all because you just felt like it!" She kept nagging. "I want a proper explanation of everything that happened instead of just resuming it. Also, you need to work on your manners with your own mother; you dare go away in the middle of my speech?! You have to respect me more, son!"

"I-I'm sorry…"

For the next ten minutes, Teressa didn't stop constantly reprimanding Vlad. Paul never imagined he would play a game just for a mother to reprimand him and nag at him for ten whole minutes. It felt like he had gone back to his teens or even younger, when he was a rather troublesome kid, and his mother constantly reprimanded him.

"And so, from now on you'll have the task of guiding these goblins and giving them everything you promised because they're also your responsibility. You brought them here instead of just killing them, understood?!"

"I understand… But can't you help me a little too? We're family, and the goblins will prove to be useful!"

And in that moment, Vlad committed the mistake of talking back to his vampire mother.

Paul was a bit irritated by how much he had to apologize to this woman, but his own Avatar most of the time said these words automatically, without him even intending to say them. It was as if the will of "Vlad" was the one speaking now.

He walked downstairs, meeting his sister, Insecta, and Ermelinda. There were a lot of women everywhere; he quickly began to realize he was now surrounded by cute girls, although half of them were Vlad's family, the other was a guy IRL, and Queenie was a mystery, and she wasn't even present right now.

"Ah, big brother! Welcome back!" Camilla ran to greet his brother, hugging him.

Vlad felt her cute little arms wrap around his stomach, and he kneeled to hug her better, ending up lifting her up and carrying her.

"Thank you, Camilla. How have you been?" He wondered.

"I'm fine," she said, kissing his cheek. "I missed you, though. Why did you disappear out of nowhere?"

"I-I was… I really had to rest," Vlad muttered, hiding the fact he really had to pee. He seriously feared his bladder would burst at any moment.

He quickly wanted to let go of her, but Camilla ended up climbing his body and sitting over his shoulders, ending up with Vlad piggybacking her.

"C-Camilla?"

"I'll stay like this so I can make sure big brother doesn't run away!"

"A-Ah…"

As Vlad felt that was both cute and a bit scary to think about, he was greeted by Ermelinda, who seemed rather moved by Camilla's cuteness.

"That was cute! I wonder if you could piggyback me too, Vlad?" She wondered, her eyes becoming stars.

"What?! No!" Vlad quickly rejected the offer, making the half-elf shed a little tear because of the rude response.

"S-Sorry…" She muttered.

"Don't be rude with her…" Teressa said. "She is a valuable ally!"

"You're saying that only because of her special ability…" Vlad thought, glaring at his mother while squinting his eyes a bit. "Sorry, Ermelinda, I'm just a bit agitated; someone just nagged and reprimanded me for ten whole minutes…"

"Oh…" Ermelinda was surprised. "I-I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine, I suppose—"

"Master! I've done as Lady Teressa requested: the important goblins with the most information have been gathered in the adjacent manor," explained Insecta, interrupting Vlad's words. "I believe it should be about time we move to interrogate them! I have several techniques we could use, such as using venoms to torture them and such; it'll be your choice, but we can have a lot of fun!"

"Torture?!" Vlad gasped. "T-There's no need for that right now, Insecta… But I appreciate the… the thought. We can do that someday later. Remember that the goblins are under a special contract; they have to be honest and answer all our questions anyway, or they'll receive a backlash."

"Oh, that's right! Silly me, I completely forgot, hohoh!" Insecta laughed, pretending to have forgotten, when it was clearly her sadistic tendencies talking.

"Alright, let's go then; no time to lose," nodded Vlad. "Wait, where's Chris—I mean Alitheus?"

"I'm here~!"

As Vlad began looking for his cute incubus, he heard his melodic, adorable voice above him. Alitheus appeared, adorably and sexily cross-legged while sitting over the empty air as his tiny wings flapped.

"Of course you can't start without the main character, heh! So I'm here!"
