Chapter 62"A Successful Performance"

Just after show Wilhelm and friends felt so much pleasure. They were celebrating the show's achievement. The practice for that show took a full month. The whole effort finally yielded results.

Wilhelm's mother, Inger couldn't contain her excitement. She rushed to her son and embraced him. Arms surrounded son in enthusiastic joy. She wanted to express her feelings with Wilhelm. "You were magnificent, my son. Excellent job" was what she managed to say.

Tanja's mother, Mrs. Anderberg, also took her daughter into her arms in celebration. "You were brilliant, my dear," she said, tearfully.

Still high on adrenalin from the performance, Elias could not resist posing Wilhelm a question about Inger. "Is she your sister?" he asked.

Wilhelm burst out laughing, "No, Elias, she's my mother."

Elias was flabbergasted, "Your mother? But she's so young and beautiful!"

Wilhelm smiled, "She's only 35 years old."

Lena was in attendance as well. She had a desire to see Wilhelm's performance. The talents of her good friend fascinated her.

"Absolutely brilliant you were, Wilhelm," Lena lauded. "I'd love for you to see me act as Ophelia from"Hamlet" tomorrow." Lena announced. The play is something that myself and a few friends are involved in she clarified.

Wilhelm expressed agreement with a nod. "It's a given, Lena," he confirmed. "I wouldn't disregard such an event. Not for anything in the world."

As they went out of the theatre, they could not but help feeling proud about everything. They had pulled off a nice act and got so much applause from the public. "We did it, guys," Wilhelm said, smiling.

Elias and him were high-fiving. Words were there. "Yeah we did. We wouldn't done it without each other."

Lena was smiling. "I'm glad. Friends we are. So great we work together."

They were walking. Leaving the auditorium. Excited they were. Excited about life; the future. But for now they just basked. They basked in limelight. This limelight radiated. It radiated from stellar performance.
