"Nothing, I'm just here," Darren responded.
"Son! Your birthday is in two weeks. What plans have you made for it? Mrs Hernandez said, sitting beside Darren on his bed and gently patting his hair.
Darren chuckled as he gently freed his hair from his mom's grasp. "Mom, I'm not a kid anymore," he teased.
"Whatever you say, but you'll always be my 3.9 kg bouncing baby boy," Mrs. Hernandez insisted, continuing to pat his hair affectionately.
"Alright then, what are your plans? Do you want an outdoor party or something else?" Mrs. Hernandez inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"Mom, I'm not really looking for anything extravagant right now. Let's just keep it simple—a celebration with family and friends," Darren suggested with a smile.
"That's no problem. I have something else to discuss with you. May I proceed?" Mrs. Hernandez said, taking off her glasses and adopting a more serious tone.
