She could sense that Norman was hiding something, and she was determined to uncover the truth.

"'Why should I leave? Isn't this your lover's face plastered all over this wall?' Madelyn's eyes locked onto a photograph of a woman with a striking resemblance to Norman's type. Her hand traced the outline of the face, her fingers brushing against the paper.

'And who is this guy?' she asked, her voice laced with a hint of accusation, as she pointed to a picture of a man with a red X marked through his face. Norman's expression darkened, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and fear.

'I said it's none of your business, Madelyn!' he thundered, his voice echoing off the walls.

'Leave it alone!' But Madelyn still stood her ground, her eyes fixed on the wall and she was still determined to uncover the truth, no matter how dangerous it might be.
