The Siren Queen

The captain followed the other knights in diving. In an instant, the second batch was gone. Sir Xia wanted to show up for Kanaru, too, but he couldn't even move right now. The Crown of Middlemist was in his hands, and he couldn't bring himself to hand it to someone else. He didn't want to shove it inside his felt bag like some kind of trash, either.

Sir Xia just sighed and used his cape to wrap the crown. He angrily cursed an absent yet despicable person. "…this is why we don't kill Rodnir. Where is he when I need him?"

Faint light glimmered in the darkness. Kanaru felt like he was dragged into deep waters, but his body didn't feel any restricted. The pressure couldn't crush him, and he could breathe properly. He opened his eyes and saw light reflecting on the walls of the flesh ball. He was wrapped in it earlier, but it changed into a cage the deeper they went.
