Water dripped into puddles all around them. It was tranquil in there.
"How did you know such a place existed?" She could not help but ask.
"Saw it on a documentary once. Never knew it was possible to visit until I first visited Iceland a few years ago."
"So you've been here before?"
Elias shook his head, "Not this ice cave. The last time I came, it had been raining for days. The cave was flooded so it wasn't possible to visit."
"So you're seeing this for the first time too?" She asked.
Elias looked back at Maddison as he replied, "Yes."
He held her hand, lightly squeezing it, "I'm so happy that we got to see it for the first time together."
"Even though you're injured and we might be stuck in here for a while?"
"Even if we were stuck in here forever, I would still be happy to be here with you," He said as he leaned in closer to her.
