The man was looking through a watch case, trying to pick the one that suited him best. He glanced over at Maddison for a second. 

“Right, we haven’t introduced ourselves to each other, have we? I’m sorry, let’s start from the top,” He said as he fastened the watch to his wrist. 

“My name is Elias, Elias King. And you are Maddison Lane, am I right?” He asked. 

He knew her name! Even her surname! But that wasn’t the more shocking part. The name Elias King definitely sounded familiar to her. Where had she heard of it before? 

No! Maddison could not believe it!

"Good morning, Miss Maddison," One of the men greeted her politely.

Caught a little off guard, Maddison didn't know what to think. She just knew they were likely sent by her grandfather.

"Morning… is there something we can help you with?"

"Your grandfather is looking for you. Please follow us, Miss Maddison," He replied as he stepped out of the way to guide Maddison.

"Have fun," Elias chuckled as he kissed her on the forehead for a second time, before pushing her along.

She stopped in her tracks, refusing to go any further.

"I have some appointments to get to today. Please pass along the message that I am unavailable right now. I will come look for him in the evening," She replied before heading past them and entering the lift.

Elias was a little stunned by what he had just witnessed. Since when was Maddison so bold?

"Are you coming, darling?" She asked from inside the lift.
