Amelia placed her hands on her hips as she arched a brow, "You mean a mother can't see her son for no reason?" 

She spoke in a tone of voice that Maddison found oddly familiar. It was in the tone of their mother's voice! She could not help but let out a slight chuckle. 

"Amelia, you should seriously consider a career in showbiz," Maddison mused. 

"Do you think I mimicked her well?" Amelia continued in the same voice. 

Elias could not help but crack a smile too, but this was important. 

"Be serious now, what's a mother looking for me for?" 

Amelia straightened herself and cleared her throat, "She has something important to speak to you about. Apparently… it's with regards to your future."

Maddison bit her lip as she and Elias glanced at each other. From the look on Amelia's face, it did not look positive. 

"I'll go with you," Maddison insisted without hesitation.
