It was a known fact. Everyone would enter the circle of reincarnation upon their deaths, eventually forgetting their own memories before starting a new life. It was their libration. 

Alastor knew that, and when he was faced with either being caught and tortured or jumping down, he decided the latter. As much as this life meant for him, Alastor knew he wouldn't be missing much. His potential was too great to waste on this life. 

However, something went wrong. 

Once Alastor opened his eyes again, he had to arch his brow in disbelief, “What the heck is the meaning of this?”

A floating shadow formed a holographic screen in front of him, with clear words written there on it, 

[Welcome, Player Alastor! Unfortunately, something wrong happened and your reincarnation had failed. However, now you have a chance to play in our glorious world, Esme!]

Alastor had many things running through his head, especially once he noticed the additional line at the end, 

[Esme Game is going to start in 29:23:59]

I Failed My Reincarnation, Now I’m Thrown Into a Game World

It all started once Vian and Arisa left the main building of the temple.

"We need to look for your little bird, without it, you aren't as strong as you should be."

Arisa was the one who gave the suggestion. Vian had very limited power without her phoenix, something she realized pretty late, unfortunately.

"How are we supposed to find him though?"

With a deadpan, Arisa asked back, "You have no way to tell? He is your familiar, at least provide him with a tracking device for those types of situations?"

"Alex ripped them all off. He hated them to the bones, or in his case, to the ashes."

Vian was being sarcastic at the end. She found this amount of 'humor' was needed to make her feel better. After almost dying and being saved by the person she hated the most, Vian was on the edge.

'I don't want to be here,' but that was nothing of her choice.
