After a couple of weeks, At the hospital, Hamlyn limped towards Sheryl, who awaited him with arms opened. As he drew near, they intertwined their fingers, and with Sheryl's gentle guidance, Hamlyn settled into a nearby chair.
"Your improvement is amazing; you're walking without needing me now!" Sheryl exclaimed, sitting down next to Hamlyn.
He nodded, grateful for her recognition. "True, but the wound on my chest still hurts," he admitted.
"Is it getting worse?" Sheryl's worry showed in her voice. "Should I inform the doctor?"
"No need," Hamlyn reassured her. "How are Yume and everyone else doing?”
"They're doing well. Yume's even taken her first steps," Sheryl updated Hamlyn who smiled in response.
Sheryl quickly knelt to check his knee. "It's healing well," said Shery.
"I'm glad to hear that," said Hamlyn with a sigh of relief.
Changing the subject, Sheryl inquired, "Any news on when your parents will be back, Hamlyn?”
