Frank’s POV
I REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS A little over an hour later, according to the nurses as they informed me I had a panic attack.
When I asked about Joanna, it was relayed to me that she was admitted to the same hospital but in a different room.
I immediately traced my steps to the location after I was told the room number and went straight in search of her, despite the protests of the nurses and other patients in the same ward with me to rest.
Now, there I was sitting beside her bed as she lay still, the steady rise and fall of her chest plus the lack of wires connected to her, the only assurance she was asleep and not in a coma.
I sat in that same position for hours. I didn’t speak to anyone no matter how hard they tried, the nurses, the doctor, her parents, Elvis, even her friends.
