“You're happy now, stupid girl. I thought you were smart. That stupid husband of yours has transferred his useless brain to you.”
Jessica joins her mother in her slander of Megan
“Mother, I know she was this stupid; look at what she has done. We could have successfully made Raymond give us some of his contract and added that 20 million dollars on top, but this fool decided to play hard to get.”
Lady Helen used her finger to push Megan's head.
Sir Bernard couldn't believe Megan got Raymond's contract back and left theirs.
His jaw tightened, and he faced Megan with a deadly look. Before he could speak, Damien entered the scene. He knew Megan was being pushed to a tight spot, and everyone was putting blame on her. “Nobody believed her when she said she got the contract. Now you want to blame her.”
Damien faces Jessica; he was mad at her for hitting Megan earlier.
“Instead of you being proud of—” Jasscia cut Damien Short
“Proud of what?!” she screamed at Damien.
“We should be proud that she is carrying a Bastard child; we should be proud she was having an affair with different men.”
She pointed her finger at Damien and said.
“We should be proud she was secretly having an affair with you.” Her fist squeezed.
"Bastard!!"
“You think you have grown a big mouth to speak in my father's house? But guess what? I will cut your mouth away.”
Lady Helen had a full smile. "Finally, somebody is standing up to this fool."
She murmured to herself, She was happy Jessica was taking care of Damien, she was surprised about Damien's recent attitude, before he should be quiet and run errands for them, she wonders what changed the bastard, it's definitely because of their downfall.
She quickly joined her daughter.
Jessica, don't waste your strength on him, I blame Megan for opening her leg for this bastard."
Her brow furrowed. She had high hopes for Megan, even Oliver doesn't come close to Megan's beauty and smarts, yet she's dating an heir to a wealthy family. It pains her that Megan has become so worthless; she knows that when her pregnancy is exposed, no top family will come close to her again.
Damien was still smiling, which made Jessica more angry.
“You bastard!!” She looks at Damien, disgusted. Damien was tired of them putting all the blame on Megan,he knew she wouldn't be able to face her family, so he decided to help her. He faces Sir Bernard.
“You will return my wife's position as the chief marketing director if she is able to get back your contract.”
He points to Jessica.
“She will apologize to my wife for all the insults.”
Damien's words froze everyone. Jessica bit her lip; she was angry that Damien was still able to speak and even wanted her to apologize to Megan.
Dennis couldn't keep calm anymore.
“you bastard! You want my sister to apologize to this thing,you must be sick in your head in fact both of you are mad.”
His eyes squinted.
“You think it's easy to walk into Globex Corporation and start asking for contracts?”
He glared at Damien in disgust.
“We all know it was just a coincidence; she got Raymond's contract back, and I'm sure she must've opened her legs again.”
“Enough!!”
Sir Bernard cut Dennis off. All he wanted was for his company contract to be returned, and he doesn't care how Megan does it.
“Megan if you can return our contract I will reinstate you as the company's chief marketing director.”
Sir Bernard's words made Jessica and Dennis unsettled, both of them looked at their father In disbelief.
“But if you're unable to return the contract, don't ever return to this house again; you're no longer part of the Bernard family.”
Jessica's emotion changes upon hearing his father's words, her cheeks raise.
She was so sure Megan was going to fail. Dennis was also happy. He prayed Megan failed; he was sick of her claiming all the attention.
Megan didn't say anything; she just walked out of the house. She finally accepted that Damien was sent to destroy her life.
Terry and Doris followed Megan outside, but none of them could say anything to her.
Damien uttered the words, seeing the undying silence.
“You can do it again.”
Upon hearing Damien's voice, Terry wanted to pounds on him; he just realized Damien was a mad man, and he must be dealt with to get his senses back.
“Madman! You have successfully destroyed my daughter's life. I hope you're happy now.”
Terry was frustrated; he doesn't know what to say or do anymore. He has tried to kick him out, but he refused to leave. He has screamed and screamed, but this madman is deaf. He grabbed Megan's hand and moved her closer to Damien.
“Take her now,this is what you always wanted.”
Terry and Doris left both of them.
Megan doesn't know what to say; she was still In shock, she realized that her bright life had become a shadow of herself.
Damien knew Megan was sad and angry at the same time. He decided to accompany her there. When Damien's taxi arrived, he asked Megan to follow him. Megan entered the taxi and told the driver to speed off. She left Damien behind; she can't stand his presence anymore. Before, she had slightly thought that he was innocent, but now, he is definitely the one.

She arrived at Globex Corporation, her eyes widening seeing Damien was already there; he was waiting at the parking slot for her taxi.
Damien spoke out when Megan came out.
“I believe you can do this again. I just know you can.”
Megan didn't know what to say; she can't believe Damien is here. Sometimes his actions touch her heart, but she knows he was sent by the devil to ruin her life.
Damien's first plan failed when he struck a deal with Mr. Raymond; now he strikes another with her family, which shows her he desperately wants her to fail. She wishes she could prove him wrong again, but she was only lucky at first, the second will definitely be different.
Damien holds Megan in both arms. She was thinking of something different when his touch raised her gaze up to find his eyes. Damien uttered when their eyes met.
“You can do it, Megan. I am your husband, and I only want your success. I believe you can pull it off again.”
he let go of Megan. She moved backwards with fear, then she looked away, feeling embarrassed. Why does she feel something for the man who wants to ruin her life?
“I will be waiting for you here,go get that contract.”
Megan walked inside Globex Corporation, and surprisedly, the security guard walked to her. She froze immediately, with intentions of running away, but the guard's words were strange.
“Megan Bernard,The director would like to see you. Follow me,” Megan says, following the man with a puzzled look on her face. She was surprised director Evelyn wanted to see her; so many thoughts were running through her mind.
“Mrs. Evelyn. Thank you for having me again.”
Megan bows beyond 90 degrees.
“Are you here for your family contract this time?”
Director Evelyn's cold voice was heard.
“Yes. Yes. I'm here to plead on behalf of my family to please forgive us for anything we did wrong, and I also have reason why you should—”
Megan didn't know how to complete her words,she sounded bossy, she is here to plead, not give reasons why they should be given back their contract.She wanted to go on her knees when director Evelyn rushed to her and helped her up immediately.
“Please sit down, Lady Megan.”
She pointed to the couch arranged at the corners. Her heart almost fell out of her mouth when she got a call directly from Benjamin to accept all Megan's requests.
“Mrs. Megan, you should've called me. Your coming here is a waste of time.”
she said, arranging the documents and handing them to Megan.
“Lady Megan, your request has been granted. Your family project is back on track.”
Megan's heart skipped; she couldn't believe director Evelyn's words.
just like that, and she is treated like a VIP.
She thought she would be dragged out of her office soon; she was still in shock when director Evelyn handed Megan the contract reinstatement paper.
“Thank you, Mrs. Evelyn.”
Megan stands up and quickly bows 90 degrees.
“Thank you so much, director Evelyn.”
Director Evelyn handed Megan her personal phone number.
“You can call me whenever you need anything or just want to talk.”
Megan bows again, but the director stops her; she doesn't want to lose her job. Benjamin sounded different on the phone; the person behind Megan is definitely Lord Barron himself.
“Please Lady Megan, don't do that again we are friends. we arefriends now”
Megan was puzzled; she is now director Evelyn's friend. She left when everything was done. She came out of the building and saw Damien waiting for her. She was overjoyed, and she walked fast to meet him.
“Damien. I got the contract. You... you... you were right.”
“I knew you could pull it off.”
Both of them held hands unknowingly Megan realized it and pulled her hands away. She initially wanted to thank Damien, but she couldn't say the words. It's luck anyway it's not like Damien did the work.
