Chapter 11

Everyone was shocked by the condition Mr. Raymond was in, his face was swollen and blood was dropping from his Jaw. He quickly ran in Megan's direction and knee his voice was quivering and shaky.

“Please, Mrs. Megan I'm so sorry for how I treated you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me.”

Everyone was still in disbelief. How can a man like Raymond be on his knees begging for forgiveness? Dennis quickly entered the scene. “Mr. Raymond, please don't apologize to somebody like us we are not worthy of your apology.”

Raymond didn't care to listen to Dennis words he continued to beg for mercy. He can't waste time on unnecessary things his time is counting, and he must get Megan to forgive him.

“Megan got me back my contract i lied!”

“I lied to everyone. I lied!”

tears drop from his eyes.

“Please forgive me just this once i won't tell lies again.”

Everybody was shocked by Mr. Raymond's words,they thought Raymond got his contract due to his connections, and who would've thought Megan was telling the truth? So Megan really approaches director Evelyn.

“Please Mrs. Megan I will pay you 10 million dollars as my fine for the bet Just say you forgive me.”

Megan stares at Raymond without muttering any words she finds his actions confusing she wonders what happened to him and why he is begging her for forgiveness,she believes he must've offended somebody powerful, and he mistook her for the reason.

Raymond increased the amount, seeing that Megan was silent.

“I will pay 15 million dollars Just say you forgive me”

Megan's eyebrows moved hearing the amount, but she knows she didn't do this to Mr. Raymond it will be wrong to accept such money. Who knows the real person might show up, which will cause the family more trouble.

Raymond increased the amount again.

“Mr. Raymond, I didn't do anything to you. I am not the one you should be apologizing to, although I got your contract back.”

“I am not mistaken, lady Megan. I was wrong, and I must apologize Please accept a fee of $20 million You just have to say you forgive me that's all.”

Upon hearing Raymond was offering to pay Megan 20 million dollars, Lady Helen quickly stood up from her chair and walked in Raymond's direction with a bright smile on her face.

“Mr. Raymond, please don't worry yourself Megan had forgiven you already”

She quickly held Megan's hands with a smile on her face.

“Megan. You heard Mr. Raymond correctly, Just say you forgive him that is all he wants.”

Raymond was praying Lady Helen could help him on this,he must hear the words from Megan's mouth before he calls the number given to him. He checked his watch he only had 20 minutes left. His heart skipped twice as tears burst from his eyes.

“Please, please, please, name your price Megan, I'm willing to pay any amount I will do anything just name it... ”

Lady Helen's eyebrows raised, but they pushed down when she faced Megan again. She had already calculated what to do with the money, her birthday was fast approaching with this money her goal can easily be accomplished.

“Megan say you forgive Mr. Raymond, how you this heartless”

Megan doesn't know why everybody's brain wasn't working they are so blinded by the money that they don't see the picture clearly. She wanted to explain things to her grandmother when Jessica shut her up.

“Why are you so heartless? Why is it so hard to forgive Mr. Raymond? He didn't do anything wrong. You insulted him first you totally deserved what you got.”

Jessica never sees anything good in Megan she always looks for an opportunity to lash at her. She was happy when she heard Megan got pregnant and her father forced her to marry the scumbag. She quickly abandoned her vacation just to see things for herself.

Raymond was running out of time. He decided to try other means since Megan seems to be the family type.

“Anybody who can convince Mrs. Megan to forgive me, I will give that person 5 million dollars.”

His words made everyone's eyes widen nobody expected Raymond to be this desperate. Lady Helen's eyes open widely, and she roars Immediately not wanting any other person to defeat her on this.

“What is wrong with you Megan? Are you still the granddaughter that I once loved? Forgive Mr. Raymond this minute or you will be on my bad side forever.”

Megan finally decided to speak she doesn't want the family to hate her without knowing why she is holding back.

“What happened to you, Mr. Raymond? What happened to your body? Someone clearly did this to you and that is not me or my family, why then do you need my forgiveness?”

Raymond knows he doesn't have time to tell any lies he is afraid Megan's secret crush will find out again which will lead him into more trouble.

“Your secret crush did this to me he threatened to destroy my company if I didn't apologize to you.”

Megan couldn't believe Mr. Raymond's words. What secret crush is he talking about? She knows only a powerful family can do this to Mr. Raymond the few she has come in contact with won't do this so what secret crush is he talking about? It's better not to get involved in this.

“Mr. Raymond, please, I don't have any secret crush perhaps you didn't hear their words correctly, go back and ask them or think about it again.”

Megan's words were killing Raymond his heart was zooming around his body, and his teeth were vibrating and jamming each other He wanted to speak out, but the fear of losing everything he has gripped his heart tight.

He bows his head on the floor.

“Please......believe me..... I'm telling you the truth... I'm sorry i was so stupid and I didn't know what came over me, Forgive me just this once,I'm begging you lady Megan”

Damien silently entered the living room, he was just enjoying the scene.

Sir Bernard couldn't believe Megan was able to get back Raymond's contract he was still surprised Raymond was on his knees begging Megan for forgiveness, so he decided to step in.

“Megan what do you think you're doing? I want you to forgive Mr. Raymond this minute.”

Megan never wanted to accept Mr. Raymond's apology she didn't want to get involved in anything, but since her grandfather has given her the order she can't decline it. When trouble comes, they won't be able to shift the blame to her.

“I forgive you, Mr. Raymond, for lying about me not getting your contract when I did.”

Damien's eyes narrowed he was not happy Sir Bernard had to force Megan to accept Raymond's apology, so he sent Benjamin a text message.

[Get it done. I want Raymond zeroed.]

Benjamin responded immediately.

[It's done, Young Master.]

Raymond couldn't stand up his buttocks still hurt. He quickly brought out his phone he wanted to send the messages to the number given to him when Dennis shouted.

He was shocked upon seeing the breaking news on his phone.

“The Raymond family company, Wayne Enterprises had just been liquidated.”

Raymond couldn't believe Dennis words he quickly ran in Dennis direction to see for himself he was still shocked by the news when his phone rang, and his hands were Shaking as he answered the call.

“Hello.... ”

“Raymond Jefferson the Royal Crown Bank has given you two weeks to pay back the loan you took,if you're unable to pay before the deadline, the bank will be claiming all your property.”

The call ended,Raymond was frozen he couldn't move his body The phone fell from his hand, and he quickly stepped toward Megan.

“Please only you can help me Lady Megan.”

He cried out.

Megan was still in surprise she doesn't know who the secret admirer was, yet Mr. Raymond is on his knees begging.

Sir Bernard was afraid he doesn't know who could have destroyed the Raymond family this easily. His family is already in a big mess the last thing he wants is to be buried. He signaled Dennis to drag Raymond out of the house immediately.

“Mr. Raymond, you should leave now you crying here won't solve your problem get up and leave.” Dennis and some of the family members dragged Mr. Raymond out his strength was great and he kept screaming Megan's name.

Raymond was kicked out,the room was silent, everyone was still trying to figure out what happened to Raymond. Lady Helen's face flushed she couldn't believe Megan let go of 20 million dollars, If she had forgiven Mr. Raymond immediately, the money would already have been transferred to them.

She squeezed her fists and voiced out.
