Chapter 20

Doris burst into laughter.

“Hahaha”

“Finally, that bastard is gone for good; Megan can finally move on with her life now.”

“Yes, I think we should start talking to some top family members about her.”

Damien knew Megan was not at home; she called him last night asking about his mom's health, and Lady Helen forced her to spend the night at her grandfather's house. He can't believe Jessica announced what happened at the restaurant to everybody. How can she spread something she didn't witness?

Damien's cheeks moved as he entered the house.

Terry and Doris are frozen in astonishment. Terry's eyes pop out; he can't believe this bastard is still alive.

Doris hands covered her face in disappointment. She thought the news Jessica told them last night was true, but this bastard doesn't have any scratches on him; he even looks fresher than what he was yesterday.

“Bastard! Why don't you just die and let us be? Haven't you done enough to this family?”

Terry was disappointed; he was full of joy when Jessica told him what happened to Damien yesterday, now Damien suddenly appeared with no visible injuries. Where is the big mess Jessica was talking about?

He moved closer to Damien and whispered in his ears.

“Let's talk like men; I know you want money; just tell me how much you want, and you will leave immediately.”

Damien didn't say anything; he kept staring at Terry.

Terry continues.

“We're sorry for the way we treated you. I will give you $100,000 and look for a cleaning job for you to start up your life again. how does it sound like? Good, isn't it?”

Doris noticed what her husband was trying to do and quickly joined him.

“I will personally inform my friend; she owns a good restaurant and would definitely offer you a waiter or cleaning job.”

Damien remains quiet about their words.

Terry decided to add more.

“I will also pay for your mother's hospital bills; don't worry, when she recovers, I will personally look for a cleaning job for her too.”

Doris quickly uttered

“Don't worry about looking for a job; my friend will definitely take both of them.”

Damien squeezed his fists; he was angry at the fact that Terry and Doris had decided to mock his mother. He would have dealt with them immediately, but their time hasn't come, and he is soaking up their pressure because they are Megan's parents.

“I didn't have time for this; I'm not leaving my wife and my unborn child. I'm here to stay.”

Damien's words almost made Terry's head exploded; he could not believe this bastard wanted to stay. Doris face was deadly; she pointed her finger at Damien.

“You must leave this family; I will make sure of that.”

Doris knows Megan will soon be the talk of Blue Isno; Megan's recent deeds will soon spread all over the town, and all the top families will be on their doorstep just to ask for her hand in marriage. She does not want this bastard to ruin everything they have worked so hard for.

Terry was speechless at this time. He thought his plan would work; he never knew this bastard turned down such an amount of money; he even talked about his unborn child.

His forehead folds.

“This place won't contain you bastard. I swear I am going to kick you out.”

Damien didn't put ears to his words. He walked past him and uttered

“I'm going upstairs to sleep; I'm too tired.”

Doris couldn't hold her anger anymore; she screamed at Damien.

“Come back here!”

“Come back here, you bastard!”

Her eyes squinted; she couldn't believe Damien ignored her. She faced her husband.

“Aren't you a man? Go upstairs and take his belongings out. Be a man for once.”

Terry couldn't move his body; he was afraid of challenging Damien, and Jessica's words were still sounding in his ears.

Damien dealt with three security men without them laying a finger on him. He was moving like a Kung Fu master; he dare not face somebody like that. What if he ends up breaking his waist? This bastard will only go scot free.

He knows Damien is mad; it's better to use words on him.

“Come back here, you bastard!”

“Come back here, come back here, you bastard!”

Damien didn't look back; he just ignored them and went upstairs.

Doris was upset; she couldn't believe her husband feared Damien. He is the owner of the house; why can't he kick Damien out?

They must act quickly before the top men start approaching them.

Damien shut the door , and his phone rang. Benjamin was calling.

“hello”

“Young master, I just want to inform you about the acquisition of Golden Palace restaurant.”

“Okay, I hope you used my mother's name.”

“Yes, I did, young master.”

“Okay, I will call you when I need anything.”

Damien ended the call. He has always wanted to do something for his mother; he knows his mother won't stay at home when she recovers. She always wants to support him, and now that he is rich, she won't suffer anymore. She won't work for anybody again; nobody will look down on her, not when she is the boss. He would've bought her something else, but she was experienced in managing a restaurant; that was her job when she was young, and he noticed the joy she had in it.

Damien slept off, but again the sound of his phone ringing alerted him. He was surprised Dorris was calling. He didn't know she had his number.

“Hello”

“Come to Morrity this minute; I need your help on something very important.”

She ended the call. Damien didn't want to go, but he felt the fear in her tone; something must be wrong.

He heads to Morrity immediately; he had heard about Morrity, and they are known for high-quality bags. He wonders what Dorris went there to do.

He entered Morrity, and he spots Doris and her friends. Two salesgirls were standing close to them, and they were holding a bag. Damien's eyebrows moved as he came closer to the scene.

Upon seeing Damien, Dorris quickly pointed at him.

“He's here; that is the boy I was talking about. You can use him.”

They all look at Damien disgustingly.

Damien still doesn't understand what is going on. He looks at Doris.

“What am I doing here?”
