“What is Lawrence Vincent doing here of all places?”
Rachel murmured to herself, She has always wanted to work at Everything Luxury; working there as a sales representative is better than being a manager in Morrity.
She adjusts her dress quickly; she wants to present herself in a way that will make her appealing to Vincent.
Doris and her friends were still in shock; they never expected someone of this high status to approach them.
This was the first time Doris had seen Lawrence Vincent; she had only seen him on TV shows.
Vincent moves closer to Doris and her friends.
“Hello, Mrs. Doris, I can see you and your friends are doing some shopping. May I tag along?”
Doris lost her voice; she never expected Lawrence Vincent to know her name.
“Sure! ..Sure, it's an honor.”
Doris was too curious to remain silent about Vincent knowing her name, so she decided to ask him.
“Mr Vincent. Have we met before? How did you know my name?”
Vincent smiled at Doris.
“Who won't know the mother of the most beautiful woman in Blue Isno?”
Doris cheeks covered her eyes; she never expected Vincent to know Megan.
“I was just passing by and I saw you; I decided to come say hello.”
Doris quickly utters:
“That is very humble of you; you shouldn't have come here; it's not like we know each other. but thanks anyways.”
Victoria couldn't stop staring at Vincent; she wasn't expecting somebody of his status to be here, and now it looks like he is interested in Megan. Her fist tightened.
She decided to accompany Doris here today to talk about his son's interest in Megan; she knows it won't be easy now that Megan's name is now on some top family lips because of her recent exploit.
Her head was full of thoughts; she needed to come up with a good ideal to make her son stand out.
Brenda quickly moved forward.
“Yes, we're doing some shopping; we don't mind you joining us.”
She quickly added, She knows what Vincent's family is capable of doing; she owns a restaurant, and she would do anything to make Vincent visit her restaurant; even if he doesn't have a meal, his appearance there will boost her business.
She made sure she got on his good side.
Vincent looks around, then faces Doris; she wasn't holding anything.
“I can see you haven't bought anything.”
Before Doris could speak, Damien uttered
“No, she bought something already.”
Damien pointed at the Doris bag that got damaged.
“That bag over there was damaged by her.”
Doris heart skipped; she totally forgot that Bastard was still here.
Brenda and Victoria both look at Damien with disgust.
Vincent looked at Damien from head to toe; he was not happy about the fact that an ordinary man spoke to him disrespectfully, but he decided to keep his cool and smiled at Doris.
“Is that your house servant.”
Doris quickly utters:
“Oh yes, he's our servant.”
Damien wasn't going to let Doris make a fool of him; this time he decided to speak out.
“No, you got it wrong. I'm actually her son-in-law. Megan husband”
Damien moved his hand forward for a handshake.
Doris almost lost her balance; she wasn't expecting this fool to speak now. She started blaming herself for calling Damien over.
Brenda couldn't keep calm anymore; this psycho is going to make Vincent angry.
She pointed at Damien.
“You bastard, who do you think you are? To say such nonsense from your mouth, I say that sickness of yours is clearly affecting you.”
Doris doesn't want to keep calm anymore; she faces Vincent.
“You can see for yourself; he's sick, and he also has mental problems.”
She pointed at Damien.
“How can this fool be my son-in-law? I am here to get him a job, a cleaning job.”
She covered her face with her hands.
Damien knows what Doris is capable of; her acting is not new to him. He faced Vincent with a cold look.
“Let me make myself clear again. I'm Megan's husband, just in case you didn't hear me correctly.”
Vincent knows Damien was just lying; he believed Doris and her friends of Damien having mental problem.
How can a top lady like Megan get married to a piece of trash? He decided to show off himself to prove to Damien they're not on the same level.
“Mrs. Doris, don't get yourself too stressed about that thing over there.”
He signals Rachel to come over; he wants to make a statement now.
Rachel bows her head politely in front of Vincent.
“Yes Sir, you called for me.”
“I want you to give Mrs. Doris and her friends the most expensive bag here.”
Doris and her friends eyes were wide open; they knew the Lawrence family was very wealthy, but they never expected them to be this generous.
Rachel was busy praying inside her for Vincent to look her way; she wants that job badly.
“Okay, Sir, our most expensive bag is worth $50,000 dollars, so everything will be..."
Rachel finished the calculation.
“$150,000 dollars, sir, do you want me to add the damage bag to it?”
Vincent couldn't believe it was this cheap; he needs to make Doris happy. That was the instruction given to him by his father, who heard the news of Megan's recent contract deeds. Vincent was instructed to do everything possible to get Megan into their family. He was given a $5 million dollar card to spend only on Megan and her mother. He must do everything to get married to Megan, which would help their family grow stronger.
“Yes, do add it. I'm paying for everything.”
Doris smile becomes even brighter; she couldn't believe her eyes when Vincent, of all people, paid for her shopping. Her emotions changed when she realized her friends were also going to get one handbag each.
Brenda decided to use the opportunity to invite Mr. Vincent to her restaurant.
“Please, Mr. Vincent, do visit my restaurant someday or whenever you have the chance. You are giving me something expensive; I just want to give out something too.”
She bowed her head and handed her card to Vincent.
“Thank you for inviting me. I will definitely visit someday.”
“Thank you so much, Mr. Vincent.”
Rachel packaged the bag, and Vincent paid for it. He knows this won't be enough, and he noticed Mrs. Dorris's facial expressions; she was definitely not happy with him buying for her friends. He decided he should invite Mrs. Doris to Everything Luxury.
“Mr Doris I know this is not much; all the bags here are below you; they're just too cheap for you to carry around.”
Doris speaks quickly.
“No, no, it's fine. I like them; thank you for buying them for me.”
This is now her most expensive bag, and Vincent is telling her It's cheap. She has become so poor that even her mindset has changed.
“So this is how one of the top families in the country spends.”
She thought to herself.
“Mrs. Doris, take my number, call me, and when you decide to come, I will get you something that befits you.”
Doris was speechless at this point; she never expected Vincent to be this kind to her. Now she believes her suspicions; Vincent is definitely doing this because of Megan, which made Doris happier.
“I will be on my way now; please call me when you're coming.”
Doris quickly answered.
“Yes, I will definitely inform you. Thank you so much for today.”
On Vincent's way out, he pointed at Damien.
“Boy, go help Mrs. Doris with her bags.”
Damien knows what Vincent was trying to prove, but he must stop his fantasy immediately.
“Keep dreaming; I know why you're working this hard, but let me remind you once more that she is my wife.”
“Hey, mind your words. You might be in trouble for this.”
Damien stared at Vincent, then he suddenly smiled.
“You don't have to believe anyway; Do whatever you want at the end of the day. Megan is married to me, and she isn't going anywhere.”
Vincent wanted to say something when Mrs. Doris yelled
“He is mad!!. Vincent darling. Don't waste your time on him. Remember when I said he has the worst mental issues? This is how he behaves.”
Vincent nods.
“What an ignorant madman.”
He walked away.
He wishes he could deal with him, but Mrs. Doris and her friends are here, and he hadn't cross his path. When he finally comes for Megan, he will teach him a lesson.
“Come and carry all this bags home, bastard!”
Mrs. Doris screamed with anger written on her face.
Damien gazed at her, then turned, leaving like he didn't hear her words.
“Come back here!”
“Come back here, useless boy!”
Damien never looked back; he needs to get home to relax his body properly.
Victoria couldn't believe Vincent was also interested in Megan; her son must move faster and prove himself to Megan. Getting Megan is going to increase their family fame.
she remembers Mrs. Doris lied to Vincent about Megan's relationship status; her cheeks moved as a thought flashed inside her brain.
This will definitely make Megan choose her son; she must be fast about it.
