Marvel: Game Master System

Chapter 2: The first game

Alex titled his first game "Marvel: Rise of the Phoenix." It seemed like an apt title, since the phoenix was a symbol of rebirth and power, and he felt as if he had been reborn with the system. Furthermore, he really liked the character of Jean Grey, the mutant who became the Dark Phoenix.

G.A.M.E. Told him:

"You have chosen the title Marvel: Rise of the Phoenix. Now you must write a description for your game. What description do you want to give it?"

Alex thought of a description that would summarize the plot and tone of his game. He came up with one that he thought was interesting:

"In a world where mutants are persecuted and hated, a young man discovers that he has the power to manipulate fire and cosmic energy. His name is Alex, and he is the new host of the Phoenix, a cosmic entity that seeks a balance between life and death. Alex will have to learn to control his power, while facing enemies who want to use him or destroy him. Can Alex become the savior or the destroyer of the world?"

G.A.M.E. Told him:

"You've written the description Marvel: Rise of the Phoenix. Now you need to choose a cover for your game. Which cover do you want to choose?"

Alex remembered that he had the option of using the system's graphic art feature, which allowed him to create images from a text description. He decided to try it and told G.A.M.E.:

"Use graphic art. Create an image of a boy with red hair and green eyes, surrounded by flames and with a phoenix behind him."

G.A.M.E. Told him:

"You have used the graphic art function. I am creating the image you requested. Please wait a moment."

Alex waited a few seconds and saw the sphere project an image into the air. It was the cover of his game, just as he had imagined it. It was a stunning image, showing the power and beauty of the Phoenix. Alex was amazed and told G.A.M.E.:

"Choose this image as the cover."

G.A.M.E. Told him:

"You have chosen this image as your cover. Now you must choose a setting for your game. Which setting do you want to choose?"

Alex thought of a scenario that would be appropriate for his game. He wanted it to be a place that had a relationship with mutants and the Phoenix. He came up with one that seemed perfect:

"The X Mansion."
